anyone got tried to use 20W-50 before?
my current demak dzm200 using this vicosity...
first EO use fully syn motul 5100, then jetron, then goes to Heavy Duty Engine Oil...
all same vicosity, but surprisingly HDEO way smoother and can rev higher...
then i change back to motul 5100, damn cant rev at all, acceleration totally kong...
anyone got experience in using HDEO?
btw, 10W-40 suitable for high rev like more than 10k rev?

you're right...need to go thru the owner's manual after i get my hands on my bike...
btw, superbike also got the same "break-in" as normal bikes?
like cannot ride more than 80km/h...or cannot rev more than certain rpm?
i goto LC135 thread, they have quite specific "break-in" method...
old mentality bro.btw, superbike also got the same "break-in" as normal bikes?

1) viscosity does NOT fully determine an oil's film strength/protection
2) HDEO is not designed with bikes in mind, if you prefer using it, that's your own prerogative.
for bikes, follow the manual which typically requires API and/or JASO specifications
3) motul 5100 is not loaded with ester which is not what motul is good at.
also, because of the brand/pricing, it is perceived that ALL motul products are good and have a high expectation that may disappoint a lot of people.
what motul is good at is their ester products and that is reserved for their high end models (7100) or top of the line 300v series.
4) R25 requires 10w40, and yes, VERY suitable for high revving 14.5k rpm

slight sales pitch: i am bulking 8 bottles of Torco T4SR fully synthetic at RM61/bottle @ Seri Kembangan after morning riding session.
normal price afaik is rm80-88 per bottle as torco website RRP is 20ish usd:
http://www.torcousa.com/torco_product/t4sr.html
i am most likely taking 3 sets of 6 bottles, but if you are interested, come offload 2 bottles from me please

this is a good input...
everyday weekday i goto exercise in botanical park after work.
that is a public where all just leave their helmet and belongings at their bike...
but the bike 99% normal bikes, not superbikes...
however, from time to time, i notice there will be some indians or mat rempits "patrolling" for prey...
sounds risky to me, try to find a pole/lamp post or something, to tie down the bike.everyday weekday i goto exercise in botanical park after work.

but that won't stop them from stealing your brakes or accessories attached to it
