What about this one?

http://www.antirain.com/_p/prd2/4535858531...n-cleanser-1gal

Local brand, I bought one for RM 30 for 500ml last time, but I don't have anything to compared it to, so not sure the about effectiveness. Still got half bottle left.
I can't stand the smell of it though.

Another one is Fireball Iron burn which cost slightly less compared to Carpro Iron X.
Can be diluted if needed.

https://www.fireballmalaysia.com/collection...rn-extra-1000ml
*
Another consideration is osren brake dust cleaner. It is safe for paintwork too. Bought the 4 litres last week for main main.

I also have the antirain. I honestly can't tell if there is a difference because naked eyes cannot see if iron particles are still around.

But I did spray and rinse a couple of times. At 3rd wash there were no change (minimal) of color on my front rims.

Both smells like rotten egg. Cannot run. I had the carpro iron x too . They try to mask but the smell is still there.

Honestly I don't think this is needed. More like for the experience. On rims, if just spray and rinse might be a hit and miss. So I prefer to use wash mitt

Wanna ask fellow car aesthetic enthusiast, a 10 year old, never been compound car, only constantly polished so accumulated swirls marks over the years... Can this be fixed? watch a chemical guys video, mentioned that this kind of scenario can only be repainted or sanded already....

The before and after pictures might not have noticeable difference due to camera, but the paint got a lot shinier, but swirl marks cannot remove...

Polish halfway DA from meguairs just self-destructed... after 4 years of service, ok gua.... going to find replacement from USJ1 later, but any recommendations of a reasonably priced DA polish?
Using meguairs ultimate compound, had clayed prior to compound, shall be polishing and waxing after this

Any advice or flamming(feedback) is greatly appreciated haha

Are you using the drill adaptor da?
Also mind telling us more about your paint?
What car make, model and if it is original paint?

thanks squallx840!
i nv knew those 2 existed esp fireball brand fallout remover. At less than 100 bucks, i think fireball is the cheapest reputable brand fallout remover out thr.
gonna order it soon
Hi Douglas
does the Osren brake dust cleaner changes color?

smell of those fallout remover is due to the common ingredient that they use.. which if not mistaken it is what the saloon use to perm women hair
using in open air the smell is bearable for me after i managed my expectation. the first time i use it i almost wanna throw my ironx away, only those fancy purple bleeding stopped me from doing so laugh.gif

i am a believer of fallout remover and i witness its usefulness personally therefore
i remember once i got some kind of rust that 'run' down the rim due to rusty nut after cleaning with APC. no matter how hard i clay it/apc it, the rust stain remained until i hit it with ironx. The stain literally turned purple and melted. It was a relief at that moment

the way i use it is, fallout remover-> wash with normal wash mitt and shampoo -> rinse-> APC -> brush -> rinse
*
Changes color. It is similar to ironx.

Shall try wool pad and turtle wax rubbing compound next...

Thought you trying to get a new da? If it is da might wanna have microfiber pad in your consideration. Cuts like wool but less swirls.

Not necessarily. Long throw DA with MF pad can do just the same, potentially with less finish work to do. In certain cases and combinations u can single-step compound with DA and it still finish very well.

In car detailing there is no one solution fits all. Experiment and learn. smile.gif
*
Agreed. The mf with da cuts well. Finishes better than pfw in most cases. seen them using a compound and m/f on Continental car, light metallic colors can close one eye with one step.

Hard paint, Solid darker color on the other hand still need to refine with polish. But I like how m/f disc cuts. Then again, I like to handle rotary more lol...

Any help if a shop can help me unscrew it? Klang Valley.

Couldn't stand my tiny water pressure anymore.

Buying Karcher pressure washer soon. K2 should be sufficient? Max 100bar pressure. I'm sure with a pressure washer the car wash would be so much more fun drool.gif
*
I'm using k2. It is sufficient. Only the hose that might be short. Very troublesome to drag the machine around because it is impossible to go around the car.

Something you might wanna consider

Economical one should be optimum spray wax?

Here is the thing, I saw this offer for Sensha costing by one of the branches for RM600.00 (3 years). Here is the thing, there are ppl selling Sensha and others coating solution in bottle. It seems even cheaper than car wax since it last long.

Just for reference
https://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?q=sensha%20car%20coating
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4034251/all

Anyone DIY coating for your car ? Is it difficult ?
Most posts here mention waxing instead of coating. Why is it so ?

Now I am thinking whether I should DIY or send it to a shop to do coating. What do you guys think ?
*
Car wax probably cheaper?
Tu 3-8 years..hardly believable.

Haha, oops the noob question. Basically I've been applying only Waxes but lately I thought to myself if there is a method to stretch this out a little?

I found that at max, my waxes last me 2 weeks for Ultimate Quik Wax (though thats my regular washing routine).
Even at most with Black Wax, I can only stretch it to 1 month at max before it loses its shine/beading/sheeting.

So I'm exploring other ways to stretch this out.

*Edit:-
Oh yeah, I'm looking for a better protection for water marks and bird poop droppings.
*
My experience, limited to a few products

Paste wax last longer than liquid wax
Liquid wax last longer than spray wax

Assuming it is of the same product.

What wax are you using now?

Water mark is formed by mineral etching to the surface.

Regardless of surface it is on, as long as the minerals are not removed, water mark will form overtime. Wax or coating or sealant. All will have it as long as the sun shine and water are on it.

No sun also will get watermarks. Shower glass is testimony to it lol

Ya, I think your theory is correct.
Meg Ultimate Quick Wax and Black Wax.
I seldom use liquid wax as I found Black Wax lasts longer.
*
Not 100% correct la, cause my carpro reload last longer than meguiars carnuaba liquid wax.

But osren synergized vs radiant coat 12 (liquid), synergized still last longer. Slightly

I have skimmed through the posts here and you guys know what you are talking about.

Perhaps someone can advise what I can do to 'clean' up my car. It's not particularly dirty. Should I send in to just wax or polish it? And some internal cleaning. I am not fussy at all so a spot of spring cleaning will suffice. And where is a decent and relatively inexpensive place in PJ to go to for it. BTW, my car is White.TQ.
*
Grey marks? Stubborn stains?
If yes you will need to go for paint cleaner. Usually in the form of all-in-one (wax, cleaner and polish).

Most shops are using aio for wax and polish.
Go sneak peek and ask them what they use lol...see they layan or not. I'm curious too hahaha

*
Cap Impossibruuuuu coating.

It's hydrophobic not mineral-phobic.
Janji got water, watermark will likely to occur overtime when not removed immediately.

Unless rain is super pure and water is ro-ed.

Thanks. Nothing of that sort. Just that my car never had any detailing done before. Thought may be a good time to do it. BTW, what would be a fair price to pay for a simple spruce up?
*
Depending on where you are, an estimate range in klang valley area
• Polish + wax usually around RM130-RM180
• Paint Correction RM400-/+ to 600+/-

Sometimes the price range can go skyhigh also, usually those that dare to charge more are usually the better one, provided they have been around for some time.
Also depending on your car size.

QUOTE(maxizanc @ Dec 4 2017, 10:28 PM)
Hi guys i have a very noob question.

My car is around 2.5 years and have been exposed to outdoor 70% of its lifetime.

So many scratches,  watermark etc

How many layers of polish usually people did for  this old?

And what is the difference between polishing and ceramic coating.

Do i have to polish first before coating? Or can straight do coating?
*
Layer is a term loosely used.
Should be "steps"

Usually it doesn't take more than 2 steps to fully correct it...key word, usually.
Polishing is to correct paint.
Coating is more of protective layer applied after polishing.

Recommended to polish/correct paint before apply coating. Else the coating wouldn't look glossy due to the fact that your paint still has swirls/watermarks on it.

Guys, one of my parents car, a 2.5 years old Honda city white has become kindly of yellowish despite we send the car for weekly wash. It looks really bad compared to a normal white city you see in the road. Anyway to fix this ?
*
Try cleaner wax first.

There are some sturbborn stains that cannot be removed by regular washes.

If cleaner wax cannot remove, perhaps it is a different issue altogether.

Meguiars cleaner wax or osren paint restorer are the more economical ones that I know of.
