Here's my desktop spec:

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
RAM: 8 gb
GPU: ASUS Nvidia GTX680
Processor: AMD FX4300 Quad core

I am planning to upgrade my processor, as for GPU i have to wait and see on the Polaris and Pascal in next few months.

Is FX8350 a good upgrade ? I am using my desktop mostly for gaming and occasional work related stuff (using microsoft office).

I did some googling and many recommend switching to i3 or i5, but I cannot afford that, as the motherboard was just recent purchase around end of 2014.

Is there any parts that I can change where the cost can be reduced without downgrading the performance too much?

My main usage for this rig will be browsing internet, watching video and performing some office work. I don't have any preference in brands as well.

Hi guys total computer noob here.

Currently I have an old desktop at home with intel E8400 chip on a LGA 775 socket. not sure how to check motherboard model (sry).

So now I need a basic graphic card that is able to power 2 1920x1080 monitors(multi display). Usage: youtube/charts/dota2. Im wondering if I buy an amd radeon R5 230 or nvidia GT610 would it be compatible with my old motherboard?

coolermaster 390w. as low as possible. 

then main aim is to power 2 diff monitors and read financial charts. dont have to run dota2 at max settings.

so are the entry level GPUs I mentioned enough and compatible with my old motherboard? 

hey man, i have another question.. could you suggest me a motherboard with really good sounding audio output cause i listen to music a lot and was wondering if there were better audio codecs ?

Quick one, which is a better PSU in terms of performance/efficiency ? Corsair CS550W or Cooler Master V550S? I am aware that one is modular the other isn't. Perhaps can suggest another Gold Rated PSU? Which is in a similar price range to these?

Okie. A little update. I've used the same method and burn the iso file into the dvd using the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool.

I've got the following error code. 0x80070570. I am going to redownload the ISO file. Might have been corrupted. 

I am going to build my second PC rig for mainly-photography/video editing/rendering and 2nd gaming (rise of tomb raider) purpose by next month or two.

I am in dilemma between i7 5820k vs i7 6700k. Could anyone advise is there any difference in real world for 6core vs 4core processor?

Motherboard no idea. Might do light over clock(1 button over clock)

PSU -thinking of EVGA 750 G2 or any alternative suggestion? I prefer full modular PSU.
GPU would be gtx 1070 or 1080 depending on their price
CPU cooler should be Phanteks PH-TC14PE (or any other suggestions?)
Casing should be either Phanteks Enthoo pro or Phanteks Enthoo pro m. (Can it fit my gear?)
I would use existing ssd and hard-disk.

Did I miss anything and is there any better suggestion for my rig?

In addition, tried looking at youtube for the Error code: 0x80070570, did a quick removal and installation of the RAM but to no avail.
