Hi
thanks a lot.
I was thinking of getting i5.
possible to get a cheaper graphic card instead and stay within the 2.5k budget?
*
You can follow what st4Lk3rz has suggested but keep in mind that graphics settings have to be tuned down to get a playable frame rate on GTX750Ti, if you play CS:GO only then it is enough, other triple A titles are recommended to run on higher end GPU for better performance and gaming experience.

Not recommended to go for i5 with your current budget, it will take almost 40% of your budget and rest of the components will look awful sweat.gif

Just i3 will do?

can take out the SSD and change the i3 to i5?
*
It depends on your purpose, even if you remove the SSD you still need to top up a bit for i5.

gaming purpose, that's why if the SSD is optional then i will take it out and top up for the i5.
But with i3, enough for most of the FPS games?
*
If you can top up/accept the fact that you need to top up, then remove the SSD and opt for i5 instead, SSD can be added later on nod.gif

It depends on which FPS, CS:GO is ok, BF4 32/64 players MP maps not ok, even i5 (real quad core) is also struggling with the amount of units in the map laugh.gif

I am not sure what's the price for Windows 10 Home and MS Office at ETech as they never update it in their lelong online store, you can ask them directly via FB page or visit their shop at Kepong.

Windows 10 Home can install Chinese (both simplified or traditional) language pack in Control Panel.

Hi guys,

Just want to update my planned build again.  Appreciate some feedback since I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong:

PSU: Seasonic Gold G Series (Modular) 650W
Casing: NZXT S340
Proc: E3-1230v5
HSF: CM 212x
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H170-D3HP
RAM kit: HyperX Fury 2666Mhz (8GBx2)
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 Ref 4GB
SSD: CRUCIAL MX200
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 3TB

Planning this rig for VR.
*
You cannot use Skylake Xeon CPU on H170 consumer grade mobo, you need C232 WS mobo for it.

And for RAM, you can just get 2133MHz RAM because only Z170 mobo can support > 2133MHz RAM.

You can swap the HDD to Seagate Barracuda instead of WD Blue because the speed (RPM) of WD Blue is just 5400, slower than Seagate's 7200.

hi..anyone suggest me desktop below 1k budget, just for internet use only. complete with monitor. thanks.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
This is insanely hard with new parts, especially with the current market price, it is impossible to build a 1k PC with monitor included, monitor alone will cost you RM 300 (17" 720p), HDD RM 200, CPU + mobo + 4GB RAM will add another RM 500, PSU and case are not included yet.

Try to look for used items in Garage Sales instead.

WTA what are the differences between Reference OEM GPU and Aftermarkte GPU, what are the pros and cons ?
*
Reference card:
1. Cheaper
2. Blower type cooler, suitable for SFF build or SLI/CF setup
3. Runs hotter than non-reference card

Non-reference card:
1. More expensive
2. Unique card design and cooling solution
3. The appearance is more attractive

etc.

You can search more info online.

Hey guys my budget is RM750 and i will be using it mainly to play latest game on 1080p like The Witcher 3.
I already bought Core i5-4690k and Sapphire R9 380.

Also if you can recommend me a good monitor with at least 21 inch and above for the price of below 500 I will be very grateful.
*
So RM 750 for the rest of the parts (excluding CPU & GPU)? Is monitor included in this budget, or you have allocated RM 500 for it?

750 is for other parts and another 500 is for the monitor only. Also can u give me the possible parts that support oc-ing. I can add another few hundred if I had to.
*
RM 750 budget is not enough to get a Z87/Z97 for oc (and other parts), unless you go for H81/B85 "non-official" oc.

If you are still on your oc plan, you will need a Z87/Z97 mobo + 8GB RAM + 1TB SSD + a capable PSU + case, the estimated cost is more than 1k.
