old model n new model actually wun affect me if for me.., wat matter is wat is ur taste n preference.. y dun u go n audit both of da speaker urslef rather thn jz relying on da ppl's oppinion.. i myself prefer s530 as it is an all rounder and it perform gud in movies n songs.if ur usage is mostly on vocal, soft, intsrument songs(not techno type) thn giv aego a try. heard it's quite good in sum review.

Based on the Edifier Ch website, S2.1MK2 (S730D) will weigh about 30kg per set,
while the S5.1 (S550D) will weigh about 33.5kg per set.

i think must use trolley often when transporting it...

OMG.... at last after a freaking long wait I can replace me old R501 with this S550D. The S550D so damn sexy. Any idea on the arriving date for S550D?

wouly anyone here know if i would be better off with a coaxial cable from my speaker to my pc instead of the std 3.5mm jack?
