Actually ts, ure not in the circle deswai u think theres nothing here. Furthermore everything costs a bomb here, especially if u pursue your hobbies to enthusiast level. Make sure u have the money and time first, if not continue your pathetic life as a commoner.
*
i know i can enter the circle to join, but a closed circle is a closed circle, you cannot attract more people to join and you cannot help grow the hobby. i dunno la Malaysian mentality, like scared other people learn & follow.

in modern countries these activities are widely available because the hobby has grown into a big industry and anyone to everyone can easily access these exclusive activities, no need join circle or club, join if you like, no join also not a problem.

with a closed circle, people tend to get bored easier & faster because less people join, less ideas, less activities, less market for business to make it a bigger market and sooner or later people will start leaving the circle and soon the hobby dies off. even things like Modelling where it's widely available everywhere, is still a relatively small hobby here. one reason maybe because they sell the models but not the tools for the hobby unless you go and find specialty shops which require some "Insider information".

and Malaysia is not a high cost country, never understood why everything is so expensive. maybe because most of these biz are opened by "Enthutiastic" kronnies who feels that they need to charge a premium for the work they did to open up the business.

Remember ToyCity last time? They were the 1st to sell model kits & cars etc, but they charge like 150%-200% for their stuffs... I'm sure Toycity is owned by some folks with political ties.

Anyone think in Malaysia unless you work near special areas like Diving site o beach there's a lack of special activities?

Most activities available during weekends usually Shopping, Cinema, Golf, Themeparks, Casino, General Sports, Food & Drink I think sums it up. These are generally General activities for the whole family, but not for you.

Since Malaysia is hot weather country i'm not expecting snow boarding/skiing on Mt. Kinabalu, but still got many other things not involving snow.

For example many countries like US/Aus/Japan has lots of race tracks for weekend drivers to fulfill their adrenaline needs, they just need to drive next town, here there's only Pasir Gudang & Sepang + some no name circuit where people rarely organize anything for public, so car clubs have to use public roads to organize events. If race tracks are too expensive, you rarely see any Go-Karts no more, there used to be some but seems either they charged too expensive or typical Malaysians just not interested but in many countries they are affordable you can even buy your own karts. If a Gokart circuit is still too expensive, can always ride dirt bikes in the Forests.

Beaches, Malaysia full of beaches, yet there's only a handful of beaches that actually suits beach activities like Penang & Sabah/Sarawak, places like JB has a good beach location yet it's designed for Look Sea only and the closest beach Johoreans have is Sentosa beach. In US almost any states along the seaside will have a proper beach for outdoor activities, malaysia have to pay & go to Sunway Lagoon or Desa Water Park...

Fishing, fishing ponds near non-existence now, used to be a cheap & peaceful way to pass time. now you have to drive to Kuala Selangor or somewhere remote, or be hardcore & rent a boat and go into the swamp areas, still possible but need to be hardcore enthusiasts.

Cycling, a very common  sports, but cycle lane is no where to be seen here. There's no place dedicated for cyclists like Singapore has. Even Langkawi which hosts Tour de Langkawi don't really have much cycling activity when there's no Tour de Langkawi.

Then we don't need to talk about other more expensive stuffs like yatching, horse riding, water jet packing, you may be able to find them in Penang & tourist hotspots which is 500km away..

these just few examples. even though some exists, they don't last long due to lack of support from locals, lack of tourism in major parts of Malaysia, and expensive price that people rather do the same thing over & over like shopping. but not bored meh? weekend even you have car also don't know where to drive to, drive all the way to Genting/Kuala Selangor also just to eat/gamble, drive to Seremban nothing to do, down to Melaka also eat only since most tourist place you usually go 1 or 2 times at most, even up to Penang, just Gurney Drive & eat & go to temple. even temple malaysia only got so many to visit. they should really make unique Mosques so it can become a tourist attraction like how people keep visiting temples after temples in China & Japan.

I think Putrajaya actually has lots of potential to become the weekend escape for KL people. It has the land, road & facilities to support, well until one day Putrajaya becomes overcrowded. Even if there's already one, most people probably never heard about it just like other White elephants.

But I'm guessing Malaysians so used to the hot weather they couldn't be bothered doing outdoor activities. But why is Sinkie different?

The problem is when something new comes up, they always ask for skyhigh price, it becomes not-so affordable and less people go, they lose money, close shop and people call it a day for that type of activity because they see how previous business tried & failed.

plenty of activities to do in Malaysia, just a matter of taking initiative to plan for such activities.  take for example the above activities, with exception of 2 & 5, you can just go to any beach, and there's plenty beaches here from lousy beach to beautiful ones.

ppl just find it convenient to hang out in shopping mall.
*
example of beaches in Malaysia please?

IMO 2 & 5 are the activities where you don't need a proper beach you just need a place to lower your jetskii & boat and clear sea water.

the rest requires proper beach properlly runned & maintained to avoid possible injuries. Imagine playing beach volleyball on unmaintained beach full of rocks & glass shreds. or sunbathing near scorpions & ants.

even in JB there's no beach i can think of, maybe Desaru which is so far away but the sea runs along the city but no proper beach available even around Danga Bay area. not sure about Legoland area.

The reason why there is no facilities for weekend activities like proper hiking trails and long enough bicycle paths is because you get very little in return for the taxes that you paid. All your taxes has been going to UMNO/BN pockets.

but you can choose:

1.Beach Volleyball
2.Boat Skiing
3.Sunbath
4.Build Sand Castle
5.jetskii
6.chilling out
7.baywatch

you are bored because Singapore has limited land, they can only offer you so much, but malaysia so big, yet so little things.
*
You can sunbath and chill out at any Padang also during the weekends.

there is around KL, but it's nothing like Paris, they probably been showing the same art pieces over 5 years, so you go 1 time enough edi, most i think are local arts, who wanna hang their arts in Malaysia art gallery when art is really not a thing here.

you display Monalisa here probably you get more foreign visitors than locals.

to make these "Tourist place" attractive you need to display new things so visitors will visit, and locals will go once every 6 months to see something new. you display the same thing all the time unless it's a Temple people aren't gonna go the 2nd time lo.

Paris art galley some people buy season ticket so they can visit anytime they want, some art students just stay there and study the arts, and they frequently have new arts on display & rotation, even Japan which is not famous for famous Painters also have some great art galleries & art works.

Art, just something not popular in Malaysia lo. Don't tell me it's because Art paper & paint mahal gile.

Hiking, i only know TTDI place, but many people. Other than that, probably somewhere around Karak near Genting toll. I've seen many cars parked roadside and people coming out from the jungle, but are those jungle maintained? like have path opened up for hikers so they won't get lost? I know Australia jungle for tourist got some facilities set up within the jungles. actually just forest.

Ure tokin out of ur ass. There are many niche hobbies n sports here and it survived long years for a reason. The problem is u do not have the financial means to keep up with the community, it already shown in your post. Work hard now,  enjoy later young one.
*
example?

they are surviving because the host have money, the supporters have money, that is all, it's a closed community and won't grow like how they are in developed countries.

it's same as saying BMW are cars for high income group when in developed countries almost every Jack & Jill can afford them, whether they want to is another question.

you can say the same thing in those poor African countries, majority people are dying of hunger but selective few can still enjoy their niche hobby.

now tell me which hobbies i've listed on my 1st post are considered "expensive" hobby globally speaking?

even Track days you don't always need a Ferrari to track.

but you need to build 1 yourself 1st before you can play them.

mendi sungain, need to go very far far away inside kampung areas. other places sungei too dirty to even wash your feet.

and the thing is these traditional hobbies aren't evolving.

In other countries kites have evolved into RC operated kites. Here it has dissolved into something nobody plays.
