warghh!! help me..

I fell dizzy already looking on the net about case fans.

dunno which brand to go.

I'm currently having 6 AC Ryan 12cm case fans for my casing. I plan to change all the fans cz it already old.
should i stay with AC Ryan or try another Brand.

can y'all suggest me very good fan in term of better cooling and acceptable noise.

1. Ac Ryan
2. Xigmatek?
3. Artic?
4. Scythe?
5. ???

Gelid silent isnt exactly a silent fan, when running at 1500rpm, it will produce tonal noise, i had two of them installed a front intake, very easy to identify the noise but of course not really that noisy.
i still think F12 may be still quieter than gelid fans.
and make sure your intake CFM is more than exhaust, else it will create vacuum effect on your casing which dust will enter your casing ventilation holes which isnt protected by dust filters.
and soon your cpu heatsink will be clogged with tons of dust, and any other parts as well.

Feser Triebwerk is radiator fan which i dont think you can install it as intake or exhaust, since its much more longer,
its almost 2x of standard 120mmx25mm fans' thickness.

Artic if you want better CFM, longer MTBF and acceptable noise.
Scythe SFLEX SFF21E 1500rpm, or Gentle Thypoon, but they are more pricey compare to Artic fan.
Ac Ryan and Xigmatek is both UV and led fans which are more into cosmetics.
if you really want both bling bling and better CFM/noise ratio, i can only suggest you Enermax fan, thought i have not yet tried them before sweat.gif

What is your casing? there are quite afew good 140mm fan,
for example the Noctua P14FLX, CFM around 60 @ 1200RPM, Slipstream 140mm, CFM is 90 @ 1700RPM. Thermalright TY-14 aint bad too, 74CFM @ 1300 RPM.
the fans i recommended above are 140mm fans with 120mm mounting holes.

Noctua 14cm is on expensive side, but it does comes with 140mm adapter kit too, this fan is compatible with both 120mm and 140mm mounting holes.

Xigmatek, Noiseblocker, Thermalright an also have 140mm fans with only 140mm mounting holes too.
thats all i know.

Though some shops in Singapore's Sim Lim Square does sell Noctua and Noiseblocker fans, but the Distro in SG only bring in afew model, not full range of Noiseblocker fans.

You cann contact clawhammer, He is selling Scythe GT and F12, but both fan's blade arent detachable.
http://forum.lowyat.net/user/clawhammer

So far i know only Gelid and Enermax fan's blade are detachable, but duno the availability in Msia.

you may simply connect high speed/noisy fan to 7v or 5v via modified molex, use Fan controller, or Mobo fan controlling utility, Asus and Gigabyte mobo also have one.
for silent fan review you can read here: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article695-page1.html
