m3 SCBS not working? tongue.gif

happen at traffic light area? it happen everyday in a cross road in jalan sultan ismail, when those moron see orange light thought that they can accelerate and cross the road but always end up stucked in the middle of the road because the traffic change too fast laugh.gif

Don't know if it's a GL or HS. But in any case, it wasn't a huge impact so I guess it slowed down a lot.

Not a traffic light. It's just plain stupid to shoot for a gap against high speed traffic. At least at a traffic light, the cars are just starting to move and the most you'll get are some colourful hand gestures.

I have a question for everyone who has had the clunking suspension sound. Does it happen when you have a full load or just when driving with a couple of people on board?

Mine clunks when I drive over bumps with my parents but earlier during lunch with a full load, I noticed it was quiet.

Wait till you go there during night. You can see P&P cars drifting around.

I left around midnight a few times but fortunately didn't come across these.

There was once we were at the Community Club resting outside after a futsal game. This Saga BLM came in fast and swung into the parking nearly whacking my colleague's car. The number of mid-east guys piling out of that car made us wonder if it was like a Doraemon pouch.

cosmetic upgrades are ok according to them...but i guess if they wan to void your warranty they have plenty of other excuses to do that. In case (touch wood) you need to send it back for warranty, just to be safe, revert it back to original.

Updates on the drive:
So far so good. need to rev higher for more power, any below 2.5Krpm at lower speed not very powerful, once the speed picks up that's where the power kicks in. but steering kind of light. very responsive but maybe cause i am not used to the light & responsive steering, at highway straight road tends to easily move about.

How do you guys keep the rpm below 3k, mine kept wanting to rev higher...screw it, since engine break in is not required for this car....i just tekan only and see what the FC later. I was told by a few car guys to sometimes step on it (not more than 6k rpm though for the first 1k) so that the system will learn and doesn't limit your car performance later on (kind of proven by one my fren who both him and his dad owns the car model, one feels more sluggish).

NVH is definitely on the high side. But the sound system is pretty good. crisp clear sound.
No sound from the lower arm bushing so far but i think i heard the wind screen clicking sound. Heard it when turning a corner.

I am using llumar Crystal6 tint, 1st day after parking for 8 hrs in the hot sun yesterday. seems not too good the heat rejection. Maybe cause yesterday was exceptionally hot and i kind of went home at the hottest time 4pm...

Now hunting for my Bodykit. most important is to get the ducktail spoiler & door visor installed. any recommendations? pls PM me.
For the side and front lip...still considering whether to get it the same color as my car (Alu-T) or black.
*
For the light steering feel, check your tyres. Sometimes inflated a bit high.

So far I've just been driving normally minus a bit of aggression. Mostly under 3k except short stints of 4k. Once I've done about 1k km then will gradually let loose. Definitely good to rev up the engine every now and then. Especially if your daily commute is short or low speed.

First fuel up today. The refuel light came on this morning while there were 2 bars left. Drove to the office and out for lunch as well.

By time I went to the pump the end of the day, only 1 bar left. To my surprise, there was still about 10 litres of fuel in the tank. Pumped 41 litres for full tank while the actual tank capacity is 51 litres.

Calculated 7.7l/100km or 13km/l.

I did tried driving until no more fuel bar left before and the range estimator showing zero km, yet the car still running like normal. Freaking fuel anxiety until i reached petrol station, but when i pump, managed to put in about 45L. Meaning, when no fuel bar left, possibly still got 5L left  sweat.gif

Only faced this situation once, will replicate a few times to confirm it is not the fuel level sensor not finished calibration. Really missed the super accurate fuel tank indicator of my old vios...
*
Yeah my first fuel-up so I didn't want to cut things too close. Would be comfortable leaving it to the last bar now.

I wouldn't say it's not accurate but rather conservative to avoid people running out of gas on the road. My old City had 8 litres in the tank when the lights come on. Hmm.... so in both the Mazda 3 and City, the gas light comes on at about 20% capacity.

The Mazda guy told me there is still 2L of fuel (bout 20km) when the range estimator shows 0km.

110km/j I think around 2k for constant cruising.
If you step on it and at lower gear then more than 2k.
*
Yup 6th gear at 110km/h just touches 2k RPM.

Goddamned Mazda workmanship. Haven't got the car for 2 weeks yet and noticed the hatch spoiler is discoloured.

Probably different material so the paint reflects differently. If you look closely at the front and back bumpers you will also see a slight difference in colour with the body.
*
Nope. Just a specific part of it. Definitely a defect. I heard of the bumper colour issues but those were evenly off-colour. I'll take a photo tomorrow if I can and you'll understand.

Ginny88, this is how it looks like. Some angles/ lighting conditions, it becomes not so obvious.

*

Try send back SC for warranty
The lucky draw can get what? This week have to go back hometown so cannot go roadshow

Last week I went to Kia roadshow in 1u nothing special on the interior, and their car is quite underpower based on the spec no wonder fuel consumption so bad
*
Yalo have to send back.

Vouchers for discount applicable directly to the car purchase or a watch I think.

QUOTE(lowyatnetacc @ Apr 4 2016, 12:34 PM)
no such thing as luck when it comes to valve  carbon build up. Either all skyactiv engines kena, or all not kena.

Since mazda 3 was just launched last year, i may have better luck directing this question to cx5 or mazda 6 owners.
*
Driving style matters as well. If you're always on short drives where the engine doesn't get hot enough, you're more likely to get deposits. This article discusses it
http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/id/...technology.aspx

I remember seeing in another forum that there are some carbon buildup in fairly new engines but not enough to cause harm yet. In those cases, they talk about installing an oil catch can to avoid engine oil vapour circulating from the positive crankcase valve from getting into the intake manifold.

QUOTE(lowyatnetacc @ Apr 4 2016, 12:36 PM)
does skyactiv encounter pinging or knocking at high revs when using ron95? is the ignition timing retarded?
*
Yeah the engine has knock sensors and automatically retards timing. That said, once the care ages, you'd probably hear some knocking now and then. My old City idsi was ok all the while and then earlier this year, on a really hot day I heard knocking. And knocking doesn't really depend on revs but more on engine load.

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Apr 4 2016, 12:59 PM)
Skyactivs in US can run on equivalent RON90, so RON95 will absolutely have no problem.  thumbup.gif
*
US Octane ratings are different from ours. Number is lower than ours.

I prefer BHP for the euro4m rating.
