I preordered yesterday, haha. All of them have been fully booked by today though.

My advise to you is to call as many Sony Centers as you can. Sony Curve got theirs yesterday, Midvalley today. Sony KLCC is getting theirs next Monday or Tuesday. Not sure why the schedules are that strange.

Damn! That's hella fast! I'm probably gonna do a walk in next time. Their stocks are probably all booked by now.

Actually dont, call first. At least try to reserve by phone.

With Midvalley they asked me to preorder in person, which I did yesterday.

So sad my TV does not support HDR. cry.gif But nevertheless, 4k resolution is much sharper now.

Ugh all my feeds are all PS4 Pro related. This is not helping at all.

I should have waited and bought it on day one instead.

Not bad. I thought it was gonna take 7-8 hours with that Ethernet cable restore.

At long mutha-effin' last, Sony decides to use an X-style bracket to hold the heatsink and CPU in place.
One of the main reasons the original PS4 (launch and CUH11xx) models often goes into 'berserk mode' was because of how low the pressure was between the backplate and the heatsink, causing the APU's temperature to rise up very quickly.

My CUH-11xx has only every once sent the fan into max speed. Adding a copper slug between the backplate and changing the TIM made my PS4 so, so much cooler than it ever did out of the box.

Glad to see Sony is improving on all these design flaws of the original. The TIM on the PS4 Pro also does seem to be of higher quality, though poorly applied as usual.

YUV420 4:2:0 for 4K HDR, RGB 4:4:4 for 4K non-HDR.

I think this should be sticked somewhere for PS4 Pro owners:

Choose YUV240 for 4k HDR not because your TV doesn't support YUV444, but rather HDMI 2.0 does not have the bandwidth to carry 10-bit signals with HDR data at 60hz over 4k resolution.

There are like thousands of posts over the internet on what to select and what not to select. It's really very simple.

Higher Resolution or Better Framerate for Infamous Second Son? hmm.gif The difference is palpable though, "Hugher Resolution" saw almost all shimmering and jaggies/stair-stepping removed. The HDR in this game takes getting used to: it literally blasts you with so much blinding colors sometimes while the rest of the surrounding remains dark.

Pretty detailed......whatever you are. Checkerboard rendering almost imperceptible. No indication what resolution it's running. Colors vibrant enough to think it's HDR although slight color banding on the blue skybox reveals its 8-bit color.

EDIT: URGHH. Low res textures and geometrical detail once the demo starts. Looks like a PS2 game.

WOW! Last time I played it, I was pretty disappointed how it looked like but that checkerboard rendering did the trick. It looks sharp! How are the frame rates and in-game visuals?

Um, youre using the wrong demo. Also checkerboard rendering is not automatic. It has to be implemnted in a patch for old games. The new one is called Judgment Disc and only available on Japanese PSN.

That one has a Pro mode built in, but I dont think HDR is implemented yet though.
