Come one men .. it would be hard to even to replace the fan ......

that's the main reason keeping me using ThermalRight products ...

some more it is easier to clean the heatsink .... dump to water and wipe off to bring that the shinning fins ....

no offense just sharing my sense ....
*
You are right about replacing the fans, but, the performance do really lure me out to try that heatsink... wub.gif

Hmm, want to try or not aa?

Anything wrong with Hyper TX? It received quite a number of good reviews. At least is scored better than CM Mars in overclocking, cheap and good.  thumbup.gif

I didn't say anything "WRONG" about Hyper TX, i said, i don't want it anymore, as i'm going for the gigantic Fujin liao...

The best part is, i'm going to replace my Tsunami Dream with the Lian Li PC A10, and fit it with two Enermax Liberty 500W psu... flex.gif

Or should i use two Enermax Liberty 620W? blink.gif

joining lian li league.....good choice  thumbup.gif ....abt the psu...why wanna use 2 when can get 1 kau kau wan
*
Because the Lian Li PCA10 has two psu slots, why leave it just like that when u can utilize them both? smile.gif

The 1st psu is for the motherboard, all harddisks, optical drives and the fans in the pc, while the other psu is for the graphic cards, the watercooling components and the uv ccfl...

I think two Liberty 500W is enough right?

I'm not going for the Enermax Galaxy 1000W, as i've heard that it got lot's of problems, so, i'm opting for two Enermax Liberty 500W, it's the same thing right? smile.gif

Futhermore, it'll be cheaper... thumbup.gif

Two Enermax Liberty 500W: RM450 X 2 = RM900 wub.gif
One Enermax Galaxy 1000W: RM1XXX rclxub.gif

However, the PCA10 doesn't have one thing that i've always wanted: Motherboard tray facing leftside of the casing, not rightside like all many casings in the market... sweat.gif

Any other Lian Li casing that have these specs:
Other casing brand is also accepted, but please don't offer me Thermaltake Casings laugh.gif

1) Motherboard tray facing leftside of the casing
2) MUST Have front door to cover all the 5.25" + 3.5" External bay
3) Have two slots for utilizing two PSU's

Anyone can give me some opinion? icon_question.gif

there is this conector thing that the sell to jump start 2 psu.
basically, what u do is connect the green wire of the 20/24pins of one psu, to the green wire of the second psu.

(sorry if my explanation is kinda chaplang.)
here is a link biggrin.gif

QUOTE(vey99 @ Dec 12 2006, 11:11 PM)
Heh bro you got urself a spanking frying pan called pentium D there man. Real hot and stock HSF just doesn't cut it especially if airflow not good enuf. If possible go get a nice tower-type heat sink and reduce the temps. Or start off with a better casing exhaust fan and seeif that helps first...
*
Yeah, vey99 is right...
Pentium D 8XX sequence is the hottest intel processor ever built..

While the Pentium D 9XX sequence is a little cooler as it uses two cedar mill cores compared to the Pentium D 8XX sequence that uses two Prescott Cores

Pentium D 8XX - Two Prescott Cores [90nm] - Smithfield
Pentium D 9XX - Two Cedar Mill Cores [65nm] - Pressler

The thing that u have to check first is, the heatsink, are you using Stock Intel Heatsink? If it's true, then it's the time to change the heatsink to a 3rd party heatsink.

2, make sure u're casing have a good airflow. Please give us a picture of how does you're cpu look inside, this way, we can help you out in understanding & clearing the problem. smile.gif

Can i ask did  anyone heard of sum1 blown their pentium d processor cos of the heat a. U ppl say like tis i veli scare d. Cos i budget this pc can last for 2 years.  sad.gif  cry.gif

Any recommendation of 3rd party heatsink ?????
*
That pc can last for 2 years, but if u really love u're pc, change the stupid intel stock heatsink to a decent 3rd party heatsink... icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(HCTH @ Dec 13 2006, 02:17 AM)
Mmmmm as long as the heatsink doesn't reach rm300 i still ok with it. No choice lo have to change cos of the temp. Rather than once burnt the damage sure more than rm300.Thanks E-J@1 for ur kind sharing information. hands.gif  I appreciate it veli much. So now u still using pentium d or u change d?

Heatsink i tink ok gua. But in my mind i got a question. Water cooling ok or not. Scare eh when the liquid or the paip bocor den kena mb mai whole pc sot? hmm.gif  Jus curious to ask. cool2.gif

by the way E-J@1 tat time u change to wat heatsink n hows the result.Mind share it out a ?

RM300?
You can get either Thermalright Ultra 120, Thermaltake Big Thyphoon VX, Scythe Infinity with that kinda budget smile.gif

But, for Thermalright Ultra 120, it's kinda hard to get one today, as it's worldwide shortage...

It's the best heatsink on the market right now, that's why everyone is rushing to get the Ultra 120... wish.gif

Oii bro, u're using stock heatsink fro you're Pentium D 820, and the idle temps is 60degrees, that's cool liao...

My brother's pc is using the same processor with an XP120 heatsink, and you know what's the temperature?

It's 50degrees in idle...

XP120 is considered a mid end 3rd party heatsink, if change to other high end heatsink, the temps could go much lower i think... smile.gif

QUOTE(irangan @ Dec 15 2006, 04:01 PM)
man, his casing looks like mine..

one advise: change your rear 120mm fan to those high power out like TT 120mm Smart Fan < with speed controller. its default fan is too weak to suck the hot air from your casing.
