Negotiation period now, semicons tariff not yet announced, and our tariff is lower than our neighbouring countries, US customers begin asking for prices from our exporters, biz look like in our favour.

Trump’s 100 Days will have to show result. We got to lower down the tariff further to set us apart from the rest of Asean countries. Maybe buy more boeing planes, agricultural products… etc.

It seems many local export to u.s is suspended or cancelled by u.s customers in the last few days. containers already in port are pulled back to warehouse.

due to vast tariff difference between prc and mys, could expect more prc products to transit here to the u.s.

I think Trump’s may hold back on tariffs for semiconductor, pharmaceutical and critical minerals for now. The damage done to stock market and US economy is too huge, I doubt he would dare to create more upheaval. He put a hold on these industries for a reason in the first place and my guess is the reason is still there. Hence no way tariffs is going to be imposed on these industries. My two cents analysis.

The Orange Moron just made a fresh threat to tariff pharma lah. That's why European and Indian pharma stocks drop today.

A silver lining but (as I've seen before) panicking 'investors' don't care. Glad I exited more than half of my Bursa stocks this week ... though I didn't sell any US, HK,SG stocks.
