QUOTE(Kar Weng @ Mar 9 2021, 05:26 PM)
Like the Cantonese’s saying, god also is you, ghost also is you. One second the professional analysts say it’s overvalued faster sell, now they say it’s unjustified faster buy more. A dangerous game for retailers.

Retailers is known to be at the bottom of the food chain.

QUOTE(squarepilot @ Mar 9 2021, 05:32 PM)
Seriously, RM3.50 is too cheap to ignore la laugh.gif

unless china manage to build 300 factories within 3 years to compete with Malaysians gloves, and start dumping war

even so, they will also lose out in efficiency and cost
*
You should find out how many production lines china has commissioned and building.

So jie jie sold/CL all units already? Am i all alone in this expensive penthouse now?

Hehe, I'm sure there are still others, and they won't think it's a penthouse.
I still have more than half left from my total. I cut cuz wanna reduce my loss exposure in case fall off the cliff.

Thanks for the reassurance. Luckily I have less than 15% allocation on the stock, but given the high % of loss it’s still really painful.

I'd like an input on "What is the allure to 'investing' in loss-making companies"? Like for example, the PASUKHAS, the ALAM Maritim and the likes.

1- loss-making companies could not pay dividend, correct?
2- higher chance for these companies to go bust
3- y-o-y loss got higher!

but looking at the volume traded, and the Q, like there are interest in these kind of stocks. Beats me why, so if anyone could see what I may have missed?

well, i will hold my boring, ugly, non-sexy glove stocks for some time. biggrin.gif

at least until i read falling ASP in the QRs, not from anyone else.

also, EPF continues to buy TG on mar 4.
- they must very f'ing with our savings since price will go to <3.50. laugh.gif

the earlier the price go to 3.50, the earlier the price will rebound to new height.

foreign funds are not stupid. With international media start covering TG, foreign funds will take note and once they come in after politic stable, local IB cannot further manipulate and will incur huge losses.

those fund managers may need to revise their time table to hit that 3.50 earlier to achieve KPI. If they continue to drag until election, bigger shark will come in already.

EPF are not f-ing with citizen savings. They are blessed to have a few easy picks in a few of money making counters and a big group of novice investors in Bursa.

my 2 cent.

How soon u think it will rebound? I still see it’s not the time yet to hit the avg down button or acquire stocks at this entry point. Money r flowing to recovery stocks, Msia GE might happen this year, US stimulus not finalised... so many factors affecting it like gloves had

Who are you kidding? China will lose out in costing? Don't forget labor alone our local players has to pay millions to secure workers and accommodations. China will win out on this alone. The only concern is energy costing. Efficiency wise, maybe you should double check. The only player with efficiency worth mentioning is Hartalega.

According to William Bernstein's "The Delusions Of Crowds: Why People Go Mad in Groups"; when "vehemence, verging on raw anger, directed at doubters," occur is often the final phase of financial bubbles.

And yours truly experienced numerous times on gloves shares not long ago.
