Better price due to usd exchange rate. Lower production due to el nino effect from last 1-2 years.

Better price of cpo but lower production, so pretty much offset each other.

I'd say palm oil counters may be perform better this year, compared to the past 1-2 years.

Then how does this company make money or grow? Or lose money. Maybe cannot lose money 1 haha.

Make money from traders like you all la... u all have to pay 0.03% transaction fees for each time you buy and sell. Also they licensed out all the stock data/info to all the brokers as well.

So far they don't have a money losing year.. yet.

But the shares are not cheap yo.  tongue.gif

If mother share too expensive, maybe grab the warrants? brows.gif

if LYN is anything to go by, then the index is bearish. u would usually notice more posts, more 'silent readers' when the market is bullish biggrin.gif

Can anyone explain to me the reason why punters are buying warrants,
especially when:

1) Conversion rate is so much higher than the mother share underlying price

2) Price difference between warrant & mother share is very minimal
---- Why don't buy mother share instead? At least can get dividend (if any) + if dividend is declared, warrant price will decrease with the same quantum

3) Warrants come with maturity date, whereas mother share doesn't

Discussions pls biggrin.gif

In the recent weeks, the total traded volume (value vs. number of shares) are more or less the same. It indicates, at least to me, that the bulk of the stocks traded are penny stocks...

Stock looks yummy, given that there are very little warrant counters with low exercise price, long maturity date, and the best part... very low price, lol

there are more interest in the market now, the volumes/price are picking up. i'd say it is time to unload my stocks, esp those which usually have low volumes..

Indulge me please. What does the arrows pointing up/down with the number 1,2,3 mean? I think it is the order buy/sell Q, though I can't be too sure

Stock market discussion in this thread, as well as those of others in this sub-forum, looks pretty dead. Is it an indication of the whole economy? Why are nobody buying stocks and getting excited anymore?
*
Yup felt the same too. Think many people shy away from stocks now, as economy is not favorable

Is it advisable to do DCA (dollar-cost averaging) in stock investment, or rather best to lump sum buy and later sell?

1 con I see with DCA method is the transaction fee that may eat up the profit (& possibly making loss higher).

I'd like to hear your thoughts please?

I have written some posts on VA and DCA for stock market investment a few weeks ago. Maybe you can have a read.

Thanks, let me see if I could find the posts. The thing about DCA-ing is something that I am considering, but not sure if it is the appropriate approach for Bursa investments. Unlike Wahed/StashAway, when I am less concern about the price movement, and more about keeping my cash not being in the market
