Scientex QR is out. Not bad. Packaging revenue and profit was affected but their property department is doing better.
*
glanced through their QR
was impressed by their property segment
but i couldn't believe in my mind how they bill their purchaser when there is little or no work being done at site due to MCO

Sifus.

Does this motto really works?

"Buy on rumors sell on news."

Case study RL

Reguards and Tqs
*
Yes. Take bpplastic example. If you sell on news you can really earn a few bucks. But if you want a multi bagger, this may not work

Do u still remember the high target prices set by the IBs last year?
*
and do you believe? laugh.gif

many did bite the bait console.gif

glove stock is half dead. those who are holding dearly since peak, what is that to lose another 20-30% from current value? when the market crashes this time, it will be more downside for other stocks as compared to gloves.

do check and double check your position, if you are not a pro trader nor swing trader, and if you do not know how to catch the next wave, please consider take out some cash from the market to spare yourself for food and shelter risk. Do NOT to average down nor simply cut loss

oh.. will the market be forgiving towards its incoming shitty quarterlies or will it price ahead?
*
i thin safer bet is still IGB-Reit. But it hasn't gone down far. once they found replacement for ex-tenant robbinson then thing will get better

while sunway pyramid looks very good, velocity try to gain traction (jinxed by my town), their other sibling like sunway putra and hotel still got hit very badly even before covid

pavilion reit has damen and intermark 2 big elephant

Thanks for the info, i didn't know intermark has above average, last few months i walk in to have a meal in MCD intermark, many of the shops were closed. i guess jaya grocer did plays an important role apart from the offices

usually, the traffic will affect the future tenancy. but somehow malaysia reit doesn't attract me. i prefer Sg reit due to the population density

What do you guys think about PESTECH 5219 ?  hmm.gif
*
lots of debt. contracts are tied while steel, aluminum and copper price are sky rocketing since Covid. these are going to eat up their margin since they are an electrical contractor

many said of it's recurring income will benefit in longer term. but look what happened to OCK, similar case... until now also unable to generate positive cashflow sweat.gif whether Pestech will follow OCK i don't really know

Nasdaq will continue to correct further. I expect the time to buy would be sometime 3rd week Oct.

Are you trying to time the market? What if it doesn't correct further?

Directors salaries .....

sometimes... I feel and wish stock market 'investors' should be more aware of what's happening.... don't you think so?

esp when you see the boss literally making more money than the company....
*
Yes. Genting, sapura energy, air Asia...

People may answer you back, what's wrong and why should I care if I can make money through these stocks 😄

well, your call on plastic and plantation was right

still holding your plastics?

increase of oil and gas price will causes resin price to increases too, and will impact their margin whistling.gif

if they not able to pass down the cost to customer, we will see a repeat of 2016

on plantation... i dont know how US Fed will control the inflationary rate. soy and corn oil has gone up and it looks like they will be staying on the current level for a while

Uli will be expected to report a handsome profit after charging their customer a whopping 100 percent price increase on their cable support products
However. Most of their revenue is only coming from Malaysia and singapore and what's left after all lrt and mrt completion? Do take note there are very few new projects in Malaysia

New reason to goreng- potential cable support supplier for EV charging station? 😅

Am positioned for an inflationary environment in the coming months and the year ahead. The signs are already showing.
*
usually Gold price is the lagging indicator for inflation

If it's real inflation, we should see the upward movement of gold price soon

Now it is crypto, gold has loss its shine a lot lately.

Other commodities like copper, zinc, oil are up a lot, but gold remains stagnant.
*
like boon said, this is only temporary, once demand is slowed down, the price will normalized back to normal

if it's a real one, it will reflect on gold and other anti-fiat commodities price sooner or later

I'm sitting on commodity linked equities already.
So whether it is temporary or permanent inflation, as long as there is inflation I'm okay I guess.
*
and if we are worry about inflation, i think it's better to buy commodity upstream stock. E&P O&G, oil palm plantation, tin production... just to name a few for our local player

plastic packaging or paper packing which import raw material, their margin will be squeezed if failed to pass down cost to customer
