for those chasing tech counters.

the 'tech' term now covers a broad area of field

you need to be specific

software? even software itself is so diverse
hardware?
cyber assets?
e-commerce?
social media?
IP?
telco network?
automation and robotics?
AI?
health tech?

Now the hot topic is metaverse, anything related to verse, stock price shoot to the sky.

Until now, I also don't know what it is, and how it can make a profit for companies.
Same like EV months back.

But investors don't care, as long as share price going up. LOL.

On metaverse

Software, AR and VR

Sadly, there is no listed company in Malaysia are into this space

Produce any parts or components may also count.

There is no EV manufacturers here, but if a company make a chip or parts for EV sub-components, market also goreng.

VR is not something new, already exist sometimes, don't know why the term metaverse suddenly become hot topic.

Everything AR,VR, next morning wake up, don't know which world is real then. LOL.

in order to fully immerse into the meta verse, all 5 sensory needed to be artificially manipulated

so far we have succeed in these 3
1. Sight
2. Hearing
3. Smell

but these 2 remains hard to develop
1) Taste
2) Touch

Not saying it is not impossible to manipulate but a leap advance of science and research is needed and could takes many years to achieve

Fear of money rotting away due to inflation should never be the main reason to buy a stock...

Is there any way to fight inflation besides having a job? Or climbing up corporate ladder?

i think this is a general investing/trading thread, we could share more opinion here

if not stock, then what tools to fight inflation?

Inflation is not necessary a threat, could be a useful tool for sustainable economic growth. u.s fed, ecb, boj, etc have been trying to push inflation rate higher for many years and will likely permit it to maintain at 2% to 4% range. as consequences of monetary policy tend to be lagging, it won't be a surprise for inflation rate to overshoot. with so much room to raise interest rate, elevated inflation rate is unlikely to sustain.

as seem recently, meme stock movement in a short period of time could be many times higher than annual inflation rate. loss in purchasing power of cash is minute if compared with loss in meme stock value.

many industries thrived and survived before current low inflation regime, will likely maintain.

Historically, elevated oil price will hinder economic growth even tip it to economic recession. how oil price play out is very much a political game between saudi, russia and u.s., is a uncertainty.

If you are referring to developed countries like japan, US and Singapore yes

Some of the inflation is due to devaluation of currency due to political intervention, eg: raise of minimum wages, huge deficit budget or imbalance of fund allocation/subsidy
for example: Turkey

It seems some local research report e.g on glove recently is more for syok sendiri, detached from reality especially on china gloves producers, and yet many take it hook, line and sinker.

i would think that at current price, kossan and hartalega are undervalued. but still not advisable to buy. anyway it's my opinion only and opinions always have confirmation bias.

What do you think of a company which is cash rich but still issuing warrant?
Comfort gloves
Homeritz
Bpplastic
Frontken
Isn't it limiting the growth of stock price due to the future dilution of outstanding shares?

though the name of this thread looks like for stock investing in general, you can see 99% ppl talk about bursa only.
and we have other threads for US market, for Reit, etc.

anyway, the reason i asked you to post there is not to ask you to conform to forum rules, i don't give a damm about it biggrin.gif
its more like, there are many ppl who's good in financial wealth in this forum and they might not be in this thread, they may miss out your question and could have a lot of advice for you. you might miss them.
after all, investment can be any form.

learn as much from everyone, hear everyone's opinion and decide yourself what works for you.

happy hunting!

Definitely do not chase the stock. If you’re in since Friday, you should be fine and dandy. Today is a mini short squeeze

Just buy TopGlove and Harta. Do not buy the small caps. I think TopGlove is a strong hold until Friday. Mid December. The rebound is not over

What potential does mahsing possess? Mind to reveal?
*
From my knowledge, they are cash rich, their plastic segment is doing well and have land bank. That's the advantages

Potential? Not in gloves. They will lose to harta in terms of tech, and kossan in terms of resource management
