Supermax and its warrants are going high up in prices.....

can't determine what's causing this spike.

scant info... cud b the new warrant pricing, offered tmr... or banks reevaluated share margin...?

Jeez... when the KLSE goes into green because of gloves alone, you know just how volatile the market is. EPF better start supporting the other sectors too, else if gloves go south, ain't looking good.....
*
that's the nature of the beast.

all global bourses are going thru the same motions - only certain sectors are holding well, the rest r going down n down.

take usa - only nasdag is strong, v strong... the teslas, googles and apples.... boeing, ge, banks, hospitality are going nowhere but down.

here, we have gloves and only gloves.... there is nothing else.... think developers, construction, malls, resorts, oil n gas - all trembling.

this will go on until a fully tested n effective vaccine arrives... 1, 2, 3 years... who knows?

if exports drop 25%, where do u think it's from and which sectors getting hammered?
https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...st-in-11-years/

epf... is not going to be able to do much.

chances are, as usual, will be armtwisted to support glcs n "the usual suspects" even if bleeding... u know which ones.

ECB plans +1 trillion euros for bond buyback, europe all green.

US homes sales spiked.... Dow +3xx.

here... hardly any good news... but can still expect most counters to go green tmr.

be early to catch the worm! biggrin.gif

reading a bit more, it is true about the share margin valuation change which triggered the massive buying of glove counters today.
did the IB's trim the valuation previously so that they can accumulate themselves?!

note also for topglove, the directors and substantial share holders bought >10mil shares today out of total 24.4 mil traded.
such huge buying says a lot, doesn't it?
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/7113.jsp
probably same thing happened to supermax and comfort.
we'll see what happens tmr...

ETFs in bursa somehow never caught on, not popular, illiquid.

but bank's units trusts take blardy high commission, yet people still buy! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(theberry @ Jun 30 2020, 08:36 AM)

ETF not much commission mah so nobody wanna push lol. majority stocks not doing well alsoo.
*
think primarily due to people withdrawing EPF to buy... i.e. EPF doing national service give chance to banks, agents to cari makan.

super high volume but RED.

I am waiting to offload HLBB, but currently needs a quick rise in next 2 weeks before selling them. Then, the amount I got to put in RCE Cap, before ex-date. The rest I will put in MBB.
*
those... will take a lot to move them, up or down.

Yeah, but still.... if worse come to worse, I just take some money and buy first, then wait for HLBB to reach my target before selling.

BTW, dodged a bullet there in K1.....
*
i maintain my view... the only highly profitable sector/subsector in bursa now is gloves.

if u want to place some new money, look at gloves again.

the technicals are now showing big bull, will run up more for some time.

but nothing moves up or down in a straight line... gotta watch, buy at dips.

supermax hv now crossed 8.00, topglove 16.00.

harta will cross 13.00.

just the big 3 will do, no need to look at others. tongue.gif

-50 futures is nothing.

-500, u start to sweat. biggrin.gif

really, many "experts" expect dow to go for a 8-10% correction soon.

bursa has little foreign funds, may suffer less if that happens...??

becos everywhere, it has been red-red.

In New Zealand, a country that has arguably had the greatest success in containing the coronavirus outbreak domestically, the NZX 50 index still sat approximately 0.4% lower so far this year. Taiwan’s economy has been hailed as having held up “extremely well,” but the Taiex has still fallen more than 3% in 2020.

Southeast Asia’s best-performing market was Malaysia’s FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index — but even that was more than 5% lower for the year so far. In Vietnam, another country often lauded for its success in containing the virus, the VN-Index is still around 14% lower year to date.

Here’s how other major Asia Pacific markets have performed so far in 2020, based on data from Refinitiv Eikon as well as CNBC calculations as of their Tuesday close:

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200: -11.76%
China’s Shanghai composite: -2.15%
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index: -13.35%
India’s Nifty 50: -15.34%
Japan’s Nikkei 225: -5.78%
Singapore’s Straits Times index: -19.64%
South Korea’s Kospi: -4.07%
Thailand’s SET Composite index: -15.24%
