Lets say you are driving like a robot(slave) for 10 hours each day (no pee, no shit,no eat), and non-stop customer

If super busy, average 2 customer/Hours
Average distance/customer 15km+5km(to pickup customer), Income per customer rm20

So making a total of rm400 gross
deduct 25% uber = rm100
400km distance (easy calculations = 1litre for 10km) = rm72
your nett after uber+petrol = rm228

if work 30days nonstop = rm6840, Wooooo Hoooo

That is the ideal, but reality,
you need downtime for maintenance (shit,pee,eat), so cut 1 hour
your customer might end up only go next road (2km away), say 33% of customer is short distance
Lets work out new cost
Income for 6 Hour (rm40) x 6 hours = rm240 + Income for 3 Hour (rm6) x 3 hours = rm18 (short distance riders) = total = rm258
Uber parasite cut of 25% = rm64.5
distance (40km x 6) = 270km + distance for short distance riders (5km+2km =7km/customer = 14km x 3 = 42km = total =312km =rm56 for petrol
Nett after uber+petrol = rm137

if work 30days nonstop = rm4125, Not bad at all

Wait...... have not included cost of
1) Car replacement (your car would need to be replace once time is up)
2) Car maintenance + spare parts due to wear and tear (you would be running 113,880km/year - compare to normal driving range of 25,000km-35,000km/year)

As a comparison RM137/10hours of work = RM13.7/hour (not yet deduct the major cost)

if you work parttime McD you get RM8/hour

Then some people will tell you work McD no flexibility, but then shit, you stuck at car nonstop for 10 hours (what fuck flexibility?)
There is also the social stigma/standing , tell people you work McD? or tell people you work as an Uber Driver? with flexible time, meet lots of people, share stories and ride experience

But fuck, when you go to AEON check out counter, the only thing the cashier look at is pure hard cold cash, try paying with "share stories and ride experience"

After 3 weeks on Uber, now on Grab, only this, i should've have switch after 1 week

No surprise most people are against change, but whatever being said, you won't know for sure until you do it
Go 1 week on Grab and make up your own decision

*knowing the destination and fare before accepting a pickup, this function alone, win me over to Grab

Count blessings, they are satisfied to get a pickup and arrive at destination safely - won't rate you 1-4* just because you're born with an angry face and/or some silly reason

Uber customer are too high and mighty + arrogant, the only reason my rating drop is getting Uber customer on Grab


once more Uber driver go Grab, Uber can adopt/change to treat driver better or close shop, I'll just will keep switching to the more profitable and comfortable company

Go Grab during the 3 hours(if your 3 hours is between 5pm-8pm, you get minimum RM18/hour gross or more) then use Uber to go home
*if you get RM3-5 trip during these times , super good on Grab

Uber riders should stay with uber, these fockers ridres wanna pay cheapo price and expect 5* service

Uber local reps are just paper pusher, whatever Uber Head Office says, these guys will just nod head and do

Go to Uber local office and sort it out, or, drive for the competitor

For premium service, UberBlack, maybe in the end, that is the only 1 alive and running

Ma Pren riders, need to wait for them, smelly (body odour or perfume),even times short of a ringgit or two,

Was on UberX driving Alza, since i'm a newbie, Uber cut me 25%
If i drive like your style, 10-12 hours daily, clocking 200-300km / day, earning 200+ to 300+ / day
On my calculation for my car petrol consumption/maintenance+labour, i will be driving for charity if doing 40km 40min for RM33-toll

But i guess to each his own calculation of cost/time/labour
