The difference between ieian81 and ikanair is the Uber fee (20% vs 25%) and car type (Viva vs Alza).

My costingThat's why fishwater is saying don't earn much, right?
Petrol cost 1Liter/10Km
assumption average drive speed 1km/1minute
average trip = 20km = 15 trips/day
average pickup distance 3km =15*3 = 45km
to drive 300km/day
i get from Uber = 300km*.85 + RM15= RM270
less 25% = RM203
Petrol = 345km = 34.5liter = RM69 (i use RM2/liter)
Rm203-RM69 = RM134
300km/day, every 33 days i need service car (1 year service 11 times)
Alza maintenance is not cheap :/
Tyre 60,000km change = every 200 days (say longer 365 days) change every year
Yearly cost tyres= RM600 (cheapo tyres at RM150 each)
Yearly maintenance cost = say average RM200 each = RM2200
Per Year = RM2800 (not yet include major parts replacements ), per month = RM233
In 6 years, i would guess car would kaput = replacement cost = Rm60k (resell 10k) need fork out 50k
Pay cash zero interest, car replacement cost per month (50k/6*12) = RM690
To drive 300km i would guess working 10 hours a days
say i very hardworking
RM9.80/hour
- have not cater for major parts replacement
- with 90,000km/year on road, chances of accidents increases - emergency fund needed (ever wondered why our current taxi are in such sorry state?)
- in sitting position for 10 hours a days is not healthy for your spine (remember to get health insurance)
- have not included those RM3-5 trips
Pros
- you get a car
- days of laziness
Me? economic reason forces me to drive
- count my blessings, i like driving
