You can use mp3 editors such as CoolEdit.....you can cut and paste which part of the song that you want and then save it as a diff file

Convert VCD(.dat) to MPEG (can try VCD Gear http://www.vcdgear.com/) then convert to AVI (using Dr. DivX)... Not sure whether Dr. DivX can straight away convert.dat to .avi ...

I have a *.TS file which contains video and sound. Its a live performance song which is about 4minutes long, and file size 500MB. Super high quality but cannot be played smoothly on my com. I have K-Lite codec, Matroska codec, Xvid codec, Divx 5.2 installed but none can decode it smoothly. After searching through internet, found out it is HDTV quality. So i try to find some software to convert it to avi but in vain. Dr Divx couldnt recognize the audio format, auto GK wont convert the file with audio. Is there any software can properly recognise this *.Ts file? Tried VLC player...it can play smoothly but distorted video. Need help from all the sifu here. Do i need a special hardware to properly decode *.TS file? I believe my pc is not slow at all. Tried it on my fren P43.0EGhz also same. This post has been edited by fr!tzz: Mar 25 2005, 01:55 PM

Well I use foobar2000 to convert all foobar2000 playable formats to almost all other formats. But yeah, setting up the encoder paths may take a little effort. good site >> http://rarewares.orgdbPowerAmp is good as well, at least they can convert Real files, foobar2000 can't.

I've trying to look for an ideal software that can change ogm, mkv and avi into dvd formats. I don't know if anyone out there has any knowledge that he or she might wanna share.
The reason I ask is that sometimes I download anime that are DVD ripped and they come with some SFV files which can be use to burn those avi files into dvd. I am also intrigued by the possibility of using ogms that have dual audio and dual subtitles and converting them to full feldge dvd files whereby I can turn on and off the subtitles and change the audio option. Hopefully, someone out there knows a bit or 2 about stuff like this.
Thanks

I'm using Acoustica MP3 to Wave Converter to convert MP3, WMA and WAV files ..
For video converting I'm using Advanced X Video Converter that is convert format all video to either .AVI, .MPEG, .ASF, .WMV, .VOB, .DAT.. depend on what codec u have in your system..
