Luckily I go to Pos Office to check it out, if not the Posman will only send to me tomorrow... Yeah, the fan is very silent, especially when using the push screws... no vibration at all... can only hear the huming sound when I put my ear really near to it... not done review on it... dunno how to... but I have thinking to try several combination after getting my cdrom bay acrylic fan holder from Bombman... wanna know how does the air flow affect the temp inside... will update here if I get any result...

Just curious, look at the picture below, there is such a nice space below all the fins. And the base is flat. Do you think sticking another heatsink down there will improve cooling? You know, let's say we stick a chipset heatsink or heatsink fan....... This post has been edited by kmarc: May 12 2007, 06:04 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

I think it might...but i also think the effect is insignificant. I tried it on my G-power bl once, and i dont see any difference. Just my opinion The day finally come....gonna go home and assemble my noctua today...wohoooo...can't wait... This post has been edited by plague: May 12 2007, 06:34 AM

QUOTE(plague @ May 12 2007, 06:08 AM) But some of the top end HSF do have a large heat sink attached to the base. Surely it would have an effect. Anybody else tried this? Eh? How come you haven't received you Noctua?

How come you haven't received you Noctua? No..no...i have received mine, just haven't assemble it yet. Working days...12hours of work, go home sleep only . Never got a chance to put it in. Today my off day starts, after i finish in 1 and half our more, gonna go pick up my AS5 from zamree7 at serdang. Go home and start my project...bwahahaha About that heatsink thing, i see your point. my nt06 also got a small heatsink at that spot. But from my experiment on my g-power, i didn't see any effect. Maybe i didn't put it correctly. Maybe soon i'll try it on my NH-U12F.... This post has been edited by plague: May 12 2007, 06:42 AM

Make sure you test the CPU temp before and after you applied the heat sink ok?

Just finish "noctuaing" my PC. Damn my back hurts...It worth it i guess. Currently stressing with orthos to compare with my NT06. My fan speed is 1329RPM. Higher than rated, but still sound-less. Will post my result once done.

If compare to TTBTVX, Noctua lose to TTBTVX by around 1-2 degree. Pro: Silent, great performance at low rpm Con: More hotter than TTBTVX

The rubber is fitted just inside the outer most fin notch. Look at the manual, it is clearly shown there. Now orthosing my 4200+ at 2.6 Ghz. In aircon room at 27'c, the core temp is 47/51'c. If I switch off aircon, will jump up to 52/56'c...... What would you all say is a safe max CPU temp. My TDP max is 65'c, so should I push to almost that temperature or lower e.g. 60 'c.....

The fan use in TTBTVX is Noctua too? If not, the comparison is not fair... should use same fan to see which will give better performance... anyway, that is just my opinion...correct me if I am wrong... @akachester In case you mean how to fit it in to the casing, just push it in, then use player to pull it from the other side, then should be in liao... hope you get what I mean...sorry, no photo to show...

Yea i know...I just compare the original noctua and the original TTBTVX TTBTVX is running at 2000 rpm +- Noctua is running at 1200 rpm +- Noctua really impressive
