QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Sep 19 2023, 08:48 AM) previously 40' or 40' ++ was a common size for tv users in malaysia , but nowdays it seems 55' already take over singapore just like japan la , they go for average or small stuff to fit in their house or apartment because tat time only have 40inch CRT hahaha. because malaysian less care about the PQ, high end TV kinda niche. and ppl is brand conscious also. they no care PQ as long as brand is ok. probably 20% malaysian buy TV got go rtings and search internet for review.

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Sep 19 2023, 09:26 AM) well said . as for me especially for tv itself . i'll go for picture and sound quality . so far samsung tv would be my choice , it suits my taste ( LG also in my bucket list ) . to buy a tv you yourself must be there to see not read those rating or review i mean is ppl wont even bother to do research before hand, at least u do some shortlisting. Most ppl here when want to buy TV, just go harvey norman, then say wan buy TV, then all is let salesman bring u fly kite lol. like if u dunno samsung no dolby vision, then u go for samsung, then u missed out dolby vision. yeah some ppl may think it is not important, but i can say dolby vision vs HDR10 difference is there, dolby vision HDR is much more realistic lighting if u watch in dark room and the video is properly mastered, thats y OLED benefit much from it. i wont even bother about TV sound quality lol, prefer proper speakers setup.

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Sep 27 2023, 02:23 PM) Sad to hear that. May I know how many yrs of warranty u get? Managed to claim warranty as defect? Now i am thinking to buy rm10k+ TV with only 2 yrs warranty. Thinking so risky to go. 2+1 from senQ lol. yeah the technician came, check and confirmed is defect, cos the top of the screen edge is wavy one, u can see is like brownish black like tat. They change the panel only, no new TV lol.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Sep 27 2023, 02:38 PM) Just curious about something regarding OLED.... Lets say if I have a habit of pausing videos, especially from youtube, it can be around 10 mins up to half an hour. Does the TV have some mechanism to prevent burn in? Maybe a screensaver? Actually its my gf who have this habit and you dont reason with girls Its one of the reasons why I went with miniLED in the first place, no worries about burn in no matter how I use the TV normall u pause after 1min or so it will goes into screensaver one. as i said, burn-in is an overblown issue, i watch so many TV variety show got those logo, also i dont see any burn-in. during MCO time i day day watch 8hours lol. Mine is more like a defect, not burn-in. This post has been edited by ben3003: Sep 27 2023, 03:13 PM

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Sep 27 2023, 03:39 PM) Thanks. Then I can consider OLED for my future purchase (if microLED havent become mainstream by then). But still OLED do suffer from ABL and ASBL depending on the content you watch tat one normally on SDR content or u use as desktop. don have such problem with DV or HDR content. the ABL is not very often that it is a nuisance. i can say is a tradeoff that i dont mind to have when i can enjoy it more than that.

QUOTE(mois @ Oct 9 2023, 09:43 PM) Yeah saw only 1 seller kronoshop. LG Malaysia told me there was a promo period for C3 48" few weeks ago. But at Sarawak nowhere to be seen. Really regret didnt buy c2 48" at Rm4.1k few months ago. At u also from sarawak. Same here, harvey norman miri selling 3999, didnt grab lol. Seems like no more bring in 48inch anymore for them and senq. LG C3 48inch is 3912 at lazada if u have accumulated enuf bonus This post has been edited by ben3003: Oct 10 2023, 06:44 AM

QUOTE(neekun @ Oct 27 2023, 09:02 PM) 3 years GX 65" and I noticed some weird uneven edge at top of screen. I'm guessing it's dead pixels. It's under extended warranty phase, so now in the midst of waiting for reply from the shop I bought from to submit the warranty claim. Called LG, they don't entertain as it has exceeded 2 years standard warranty. [attachmentid=11483464] [attachmentid=11483465] https://old.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/103b..._with_the_same/lol seems like a few cases here also. i am having same issue on my c9 after exceeded 2 years standard warranty as well. luckily covered by senq extended warranty.

QUOTE(Zaryl @ Feb 5 2025, 12:45 AM) I am interested to get the 42" LG C4 OLED 4k tv, but so far can't find it here locally through Shopee or Lazada. Senheng, Harvey norman all selling minimum 48". I wanted to put one inside my study room, but 48" is wayyy to big. 42" is the sweet spot. Planning to use it to play my PS5 Pro only. mareshia no bring in 42inch

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Mar 20 2025, 10:02 AM) I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on the B4. Considering all the dead pixel issues and seems quite often from the posts here, I’d be reluctant to spend more on a TV with a shelf life around 5 years ish… no more five year-ish, mine got prob after 2years+ lucky still in warranty. the top edge like burned lol. got fren one also got issue around 2years ish? maybe is lottery but yeah, nowadays cannot expect 5year-ish without issue. for me, OLED better buy longer warranty. even rm3k+ dyson vacuum in its warranty period i change main unit twice lol. lucky buy 5years warranty. QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Mar 20 2025, 02:06 PM) That is my main issue with dropping RM9.5k for a OLED tv which such low life span Even paying additional 3 yr warranty will make it RM11k which isn't cheap either if the TV suddenly got issue on the 6th year... At least the B4 with extra 3yr warranty making it RM8.5k won't be as painful... I buy from senq they give extra 1 year on top manufacturer 2 years lol. TV extra warranty so exp ah. I think follow the value, now i dont buy cheapest but go for higher warranty with lower price lol. Some shop cheap but no extra warranty wont buy

QUOTE(cba5566 @ Oct 25 2025, 04:50 PM) bem69, did u ever press red key at magic remote control , to turn tv to standby mode (to run compensation cycle) ? By right run compensation cycle every 2 or 3 days should reduce the chance of burn-in problem... Just let tv algorithm do it work. Compensation cycle burn ur pixel my friend. It is just to even out uneven wear on oled
