I know how , the key here is " officially " .
If you encounter any of those error you will receive no support from the Local LG HQ.

They don't ship TVs to Malaysia .

Also you cannot compare the US market with MY market .
They have so many more options for high end TVs over there , the market is extremely competitive .

Pulled the trigger and got an LG 65" B9 to pair with a Samsung Q70R Soundbar for dolby atmos.

Still have the option of changing the audio option before it arrives - any suggestions to improve the audio setup with dolby atmos for not much more or is this about as good as it gets for dolby atmos at ~RM2k? (although i understand it's probably not dolby atmos the way it's meant to be experienced). Willing to spend a bit more if there is much more value to be had

Don't bother with Atmos if your budget is RM2k. Soundbar Atmos is just not just not Atmos, despite what marketing and the people who bought into them tell you otherwise. This will offend many but I've had enough of this soundbar atmos bullshit, but I'll be blunt - you're an idiot if you buy into it.

I think you should just buy an entry level receiver for RM1.5k then put the rest of the money into a pair of good bookshelfs. After that, you can upgrade slowly by adding piece by piece. Home Theather is a journey, not a one stop buy and forget it thing.

I would go for the C8 if you don't need any HDMI 2.1 features.
