I would recommend to go for C1 unless you get a super deal for the CX. Plus You get additional year of future firmware support.
*
this i agree, LG don really update especially webOS to follow new one.

I thought LG have this function where they can "reset" the burn in? Probably I'm wrong, I didn't read thoroughly
*
not really reset, but is refresh the pixel and hopefully can fix or reduce the burn in.

good insight, thank you.
I;m looking at 48inch for me to watch netflix, youtube and mostly gaming on Xbox Series X.

Currently using Xiami TV 4S 43inch.
*
I think below 4k is nice. This is wat i mentioned about, 42 and 48inch doesnt really give u better brightness, so to me c1 and c2 is very similar if without the brightness booster. Can get cheaper one. C2 only thing good is they got 42inch, quite good size for monitor.

Not dangerous at all.

I DIY install my LG 65". Not even on the wall. But on the wood back panel.

4pcs M10 screw with bracket. Can support more than 100kg.
*
Wat kind of wood back panel? I thinking mounting my 55inch on drywall with the kind of flexible monitor arm that can extend forward backward one.. but scare the whole thing might came off.. i saw snap toggle bolt at lazada can stand 150kg lol.. dunno can believe or not

It's not the bolt wall plug that cannot withstand the weight, it's your drywall that cannot withstand it. Most drywalls are only 10mm thick, so unless you specifically request for higher quality gypsum boards (which ranges from 12.5mm to 15mm, higher density), the typical plasterboard drywall cannot withstand the weight of the TV.

And btw no one hangs TV on a drywall. You drill the bracket into the wall studs (usually 2x2 or 4x4 in size), THEN you hang the TV on the bracket.
*
ok thanks, now need to find the studs on my wall before anything else doh.gif doh.gif

Guys, i today just realize my screen on the top is like this.. and got some dead pixels as well.

Not sure u guys can see or not, is like the top part is abit wavy, but other edge is clean. This is considered defects? Found some burn pixel also, really need to get really close to see lol.

What's the hour of usage btw?

3590hrs as of tis morning

QUOTE(overfloe @ Jun 9 2022, 09:41 AM)
ya bro, can see both wavy and burn mark in your photos. if those are consistent on all picture sources & modes, maybe you can call LG to check.
*
My warranty finish with LG, already inform SenQ cos now under plusone warranty their procedure is to contact them first. The wavy part looks like burnt. The top area quite alot dead pixel, easily count 10pixels.

Same as my CX a fee weeks back. I called called LG on a Friday, and they came over the following Friday and replaced the panel. As mine still has warranty till August.

Will be interesting to see yours since its on the shop warranty now and not LG. My old panel had an operating hour of 5850 hours. My timer wasn't reset though so I just have a mental note of my current panel hours haha. Hopefully it lasts for at least 3 more years....

Urs seems more worse than mine lol. So far no news from senq, i ask the shop they say they oledi send report wait kl contact. Luckily urs until August lol.

That's because this pic is after having it for over a month. It started with very small wavy look on the top border, and dark in colour so exactly like yours laugh.gif

If you wait a month or more, may come to the same thing... Anyway good luck with your warranty request, who knows they may end up giving you a new model haha.
*
Senq the plusone warranty policy is like they pay u the amount u pay for the TV lol.. the TV value is 7999 only.. i think they also will ask LG to fix then they pay LG la haha.

Like tat is similar problem, but quite disappointing, 2years+ already got such issue, summore my TV hours only clock 3.5k, i think shud use my TV gao gao now. Even if count dead pixel already more than 10 altho very fine la. But the wavy thing consider is pixel, can be of thousands already lol.

Bro just wanna ask, did they check ur service menu etc those? or they just straight change panel?

Thats like around 8-9 hours per day assuming you had it for a little under 2 years? That's heavy.  biggrin.gif

i guess if your home have senior citizen most time they also sit in front TV when not they finish their daily chores. My grandparents did so and their CRT almost open 8 hours a day, even no ppl watching also on lol. Cos they dont know english and cant use mobile phones.

For my CX panel replacement last dec was quite similar to this video. The 2 LG staff actually brought their own styrofoam block to elevate the tv/panel. No they did not access the service menu if I recall.

Alright, shall wait for them to contact me, send an email to senq. Probably gonna send 1 to LG
