Biggest difference last night IMO was in the attacking department.
Defense for both sides were shaky, but PSG were decisive in final third passing while our players seem to start thinking of what to do only after we reached their final third.
This is down to coaching i think, but not Hiddink's fault. Hiddink is interim, while in PSG's case Blanc has been training the players with his attacking strategy for a few seasons and they can execute their attack more confidently. Unlike us always seem clueless in attack - managerial stability very important, not only on player's emotion, but on team tactics and performance also. Change tactics every season with new manager susah la to build a cohesive team

Somehow I agree with this guy, the team lack a leader, the team lack someone to push them. After Costa gets subbed, I know that's it. Gone were the days we had 1 leader in each department. Drogba, Lampard, JT, Cech. These guys will never give up and just rile up the team and go for the win. But none of these was seen yesterday.

And also PSG is not just a mediocre team. I rate them maybe 4th best team in the CL now behind Barca, Bayern and Real.

Yakah? Brb fpl.

Anyways any Chelsea fan who thinks that Chelsea is on paper stronger than PSG must be dreaming. PSG are huge favorites this season for the CL, and have they never heard of The Zlatan.

I think the current Chelsea not only is lack of leader.

They lack of fighters.

As you said, Drogba, Lamps, JT, Cech, they were not only leaders they are fighters. They know what they want, and they fight for it, they have the winner mentality. And thus, other players become great just by sharing the same room with them. Current Chelsea team is full of "wonderkid" and that suits them well. Kids.

Not happy with manager, dont want to play properly. Already win a league, ok that's enough attitude.
No wonder Mourinho not happy. I think if it is up to him, he'd sell half of the squad.

Another thing is player power > all. Hazard was asking to be subbed off. For the second time! First time was when Mou was still here. Is he really 'injured'? Or he do not want to continue playing?

Not only on the pitch, but off the pitch as well. Somehow I feel that the management side more with the players.....

Which is why i'm always unhappy when seeing all foreign players in our lineup. We need homegrown players who have heart for the club. Not to say that all foreign players have no heart (Drog, Cech, Ballack, Essien etc), but we need new Mr Chelsea's (and they can be foreign not necessarily HG) in our team. So far players who look like they would really fight for the club are only Courtouis, Kenedy, Willian & Costa.
Back then even tho ppl always only talk bout Cech Terry Lamps and Drog, we should not forget the other fighters like Cole, Luiz, Iva (back then), Essien, Ballack, Mata or even Torres who always play like Chelsea is their home, now all gone sudah..

Right now for CB (include loan) we have Cahill, Zouma, JT, Iva, Miazga, Hector, Kalas, Christensen, Papy.. 9 of them. Who would you guys like to see us use next season?
I like Cahill, Zouma, Kalas, Miazga, maybe Papy for backup

Here come the era of pre roman once again. brace yourself young fans. this will be a long and bumpy ride.

prediction for next season:
- top 5 finish.
- hazard shipped to neutralise the losses.
- oscar might stay as we dont have the buying power due to no UCL.
- might do well in fa and league cup as we dont have the distraction of europe competition.

*list to be update.

Without the main man in Chelsea, the team is very demotivating. First Drogba, then Lampard, Cech and now Terry. I do not know who these players who listen to when Terry is no longer with us on next season. We are lacking senior players. Senior players that have the influence like our legends.

I foresee major overhaul for next season, which is a good thing for transitional period. I think we are holding long enough for a overhaul. I'm hoping to see these following;

- Promote youth to first team, create our class of 92. What's the point of spending big? The players will only play for money instead of club. Maldini, Giggs, Totti are a few good examples.
- Let players who play for money leave. Be it 3-4 players, half squad or major overhaul. Don't want to see players who are playing in blue shirt without the heart set on the club.
- Get a manager and stick with him. There are no other manager who can stay longer than 4 years since Roman era. Frankly speaking, I'm getting annoyed of that. Players can't gel with gaffer, nor can gaffer get to know the players better.
- Let the manager decide who to buy. How many times our transfer policies were being interrupt by the likes of Abramovich and Emenalo. Let the manager have to final decision of who he should sign because he will know best which players he want.
- Renew Terry's contract until we have the next Mr Chelsea. cry.gif

The list can go on and on.

As i mention before, major overhaul will be bad for us. Why? To click one and another takes time. If still wanna do major overhaul, i suggest we use youngsters who played together before in U21 squad. And agree on JT, please renew his contract for chelsea sake. Whoever behind the plan not to renew his contract should be fired vmad.gif

I suggest we sale hazard (if he doent have any heart anymore to play with us) and keep costa. Next season get top 6 + fa cup would be good. Costa still good and didnt show any not desire to play with us. Keep fab and sale oscar. Had enough with oscar. Buy someone that can contribute to the team. MC gonna do major overhaul too next season. So i suggest we raid them. If MU wanna sell mata, get mata back. Wayyyy better than oscar right now
