Tbh, it was an expected result...I don't know why people are so shocked about it. PSG's team are clearly better than us, IMO they are the third best team in Europe. (Barca and Bayern are slightly better though) No shame at all in going out against a team with Ibra, Matuidi, Motta, ADM, Silva and Luiz. We gave them a good fight, we'll come back stronger next time we play in UCL. I hope Costa is alright, shame to see him getting taken off injured, but I do have confident with Traore to lead the attacking line.

We have a bigger match to look forward to, for example the match against Everton in the FA Cup QF this weekend. Win that and we will book our place in the semis at Wembley. Win the FA Cup and we can book our place in the Europa League for next season, I know some of us don't really rate the comp...but I think playing in Europe every seasons is always great for a club of our stature.

I agree, Conte has a big rebuilding job to do in the summer. (If he comes as our next manager that is) I have no huge expectations for our transfer window in the summer, because I don't want to be disappointed. Fingers crossed we can still sign players that are good enough to play for our shirt. I do expect a massive clear out in the summer, alot of our first team players aren't good enough.

Btw, that PSG fan is so cute. wub.gif

As said, Ibra did score with a laugh. Bye Champions League.

Sad that we rely on Diego so much, if he's gone by next season what will happen hmm.gif

Tbh psg are way better then us this season. On paper it seems like we can beat psg but we got tons of off form players. And defense really piss poor. Heck even out overall performance piss poor. Psg deserve it but i a bit frust.2x in row they beat us.

Next season will be super hard for us. The chance for ucl is 30 40 percent only coz got pep, (possibly) mou, kloop, poch and wenger. Dont forget if lei can keep their players, they might attract look-to-be mediocre but actually super great with low price sweat.gif

didnt manage to stay awake to watch the game. this is our shittest season in a long time against a very solid PSG team.

we'll be back in a couple years. gotta set our own team straight first in the meantime.

Transitional period guys. Do not expected highly on positive results. I have set my eyes on FA Cup for this season and that's the last cup we can look forward to. BPL, just climb as high as possible. Not going to expect them to go for Europa spot. Just win the FA Cup and get auto qualified for Europa or UEFA.

In the end our midtable credentials shone through, harsh as that sounds. Pity, because we had our chances to hurt them but we seemed determined to overcomplicate things.

In contrast you could see that every time PSG got into the final third they knew where to run, where to look for space and they kept every thing simple but decisive. Nobody tried to dribble too much or dwell on the ball Ala willian and hazard who were the two biggest disappointments today, imo. On par with those two in defense are none other than azpi and cahill. We switched off twice and they punish us with two well worked goals.

They switched off numerous times (especially when we dispossessed them in their half via mikel, pedro, cesc, etc) but we always end up tip-toeing around their penalty box without doing much. That was the main difference between the two teams.

However, everyone who's banging on about our squad not being 'good enough,' sorry I'm just not buying it. You can't tell me we have a far inferior squad to all those teams above us in the epl, I.e leicester, arsenal, spurs, stoke, etc. You just can't..because it doesn't make sense.

Some of these players have truly lost their way,and we need a strict gaffer who knows how to get the best of them consistently, and kick certain individuals into shape every once in awhile. Guus has been very good, but imo its difficult for some of these guys to take him too 'seriously,' with his role being interim and all. These same players will probably need more 'straightening out' compared to all the others, because clearly they're bringing the whole team down.

Season could be all over by this weekend. Let's see how they respond.

i think I saw a quote where it says "probably the team is not underperforming, this is their level, only Mourinho overachieved last season with same set of player" or something like that.

If we fans are given the chance, I want these players out

1. hazard
2. matic
3. oscar
4. falcao
5. remy

and positions to buy

1. A proven LB - although baines is aging, we could use him
2. A ball winning/defensive midfielder
3. no nonsense winger
4. and a striker if diego going out

Lets not forget we are playing our second choice CB pairing. Our first choice cb pairing ( JT and Zouma) is injured. And we have a youth playing at LB.

So even if we compare the teams on paper, PSG has the upperhand. Not 50/50 imho. And also Moura and ADM was raring to have a speed race with our defenders. Credit where its due, i think PSG had a very good game. Possesion and players seem to run into space nicely.

actually i think if we are going to rebuild, better incorporate more youths. we can sell those players, and push more youth into the club. maybe a trophy drought for a couple years, but its the only time our youth will even get a chance now.

But too many youth will make the team look thin with no experience. Not every team that push youth to play will promise a successful result. 2 3 player would be enough for me and need 2 old guard which can play and give big impact on and off team. That is why i hope JT stay or Drogba to come back and become coach. I dunno why but i just think that iva not good enough to influence the team. I rarely see him give battle cry to the team. If JT go next season, i think we gonna have a bad time. I miss lampard and cech sad.gif. Miss how cech encourages the team even he on the bench.

Last night is a good example. Team all look down and iva do what? And most importantly, no other old guard available to give them fighting spirit. If we see cech or JT,sure they will give a shout

dude our youth, is kind of overhyped.

RLC the biggest star? come on, you really believe that?

But anyways, I believe we can slowly introduce youth to our team. But in defence zouma, baba can improve. and in attack traore, perhaps kenedy. in midfield, i dont think anyone can fit in. Because midfield is too important as our team's midfield sucks big time

So no UCL next season.
Europa? Finish at 5th or 6th position quite challenging.

Winning FA cup will secure europa spot right?
