Isn't mi5 a flagship?
As long camera good. Battery big. Smooth enough can ady. I just use emails for work. Fb. Waze and camera. Normal user only.

Sell Note 5 and buy S7 then.

its a flagship but still. 2k flagship cant compare with 3k flagship
imho, the camera of mi5 still far from s7 , ipon 6s plus.

eventhou mi5 have optical stabilization, but the picture come out still above average only.
but normal fb instagram whatsapp post picture no problem, cant see any diff also. lel

at the moment i am very much frustrated with my OPO due to camera slow focusing. So many of my photos come out blurry.

my choice is really between MI5 and S7 (not edge), and at current price there is only RM500 difference. Unless my trip to China next week I get a verygood price for Mi5 prime/pro then I will definitely purchase s7 if that is the case.

My other choice is HTC 10 but the price is too expensive and camera is also inferior to S7.

Any others? P9 is also more expensive S7. Any other handset I should be looking at?

With 4 axis OIS the camera should perform better

OK maybe I shouldn't say the camera sucks. But,

1. Really noisy if take indoor shots (even when brightly lit)
2. Outdoor pics is decent (see below)
3. Night pics maybe tonight I try again

So true.
The Mi5 is a great phone. Everything is good, except for the subpar camera.
But yeah like you and I mention, if upload to FB/IG then no need to worry so much about it.

The image stabilization only helps with blurry photo... picture quality still depend on the sensor/software/image processing engine. I've read some article before, Samsung/Apple invest alot in their image processing engine.

If camera is your priority, S7/7edge are better go if you budget allow. You can't go wrong with Samsung/Apple that on the flagship leading market for so long, no matter their hardware/software optimization.

I know i cannot go wrong with established brand... just boring.

Well going back to mainstream after 1 device (OPO).

1. i will try to order one more unit if i get lucky.
2. if someone else manage to add to cart, i can help with checkout.
3. depending on when the item arrives to the address, ship back can be arranged. only covering cost of shipping. no service charge, profit etc.

Currently having issue with Google Photos app not able to get permission to access storage.
I have already enabled Permission Manger in Security App.

For the photo quality, i am happy with it. I am expecting just average quality for low light photography, as I have checked reviews before getting the phone.
I came from using Galaxy S4 LTE, which was also a decent shooter.
For those who is not happy with the quality, you might want to check the Quality setting, and set it to 'High'.

Yup, been using for a couple of years dy. I only use the metal plate. For the magnet part, i use the neodymium magnet from old Hard disk.

Samsung price is too high. Can buy a laptop already. Also their battery life cannot match xiaomi (based on Gsmarena).
I like 2 feature of MIUI not found in any ROMs :
(i) the ability to sound the alarm even though phone is off
(ii) able to schedule when to on/off the phone.
