I'm just wondering why there have been major updates within these two weeks for Windows 10 1607, in both cases it took at least an hour to download & install. Aren't Microsoft releasing the updates on their Patch Tuesday (Wednesday in Malaysia)?

er each of these files are relatively small (the cu is 260+MB for x64; and service stack update is around 11MB). maybe the file servers are loaded when you did it; it only took me few minutes to complete installation process for both.

Hmm... no wonder. I was wondering if the download was several Gb.

it's easy to find out the size for these updates: eg. for firefox, when you click on the links a download dialog will show up and tell you how big the files are. you can then cancel the download if you want.

however i really suggest to wait for the official .msu release. they might still add something into it later.

you are right indeed biggrin.gif my suggestion is for those who sit and wait for things to happen hehe

in this case, a lot of people do not know if they have kb3176932 installed previously, they might not get kb3176934 via windows update, and installing .msu offline is a working solution to get it installed.

well, sort of; kb3176932 doesn't have the powershell dsc and remoting bug, kb3176934 does :/, https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/powershell...n-in-kb3176932/ (the link title is wrong, the content is actually about kb3176934)

both kb3176932 and kb3176934 give you 14393.82.

you have kb3176932, so you will not get kb3176934 via windows update.

what should i type?

by the way, can u play the video on google chrome? mine got sound but no video & previously i able to right click to run the plugin.

i always select "let me choose when to run plugin contect" under Content Settings > Plugins

if i tick "always allow to run" adobe flash player 22.0.0.209 under chrome://plugins the video & sound are working but even i disable auto play the videos will automatically run when i click it.

Not sure bro. Just do blind search about 'clear driver search location history' and good luck

Sorry but I don't use chrome. I use firefox mainly (because i save my offline profiles in data drive so that they can survive each clean installs)

it's possible. to avoid potential interference you should disable it temporarily before you run windows updates.

windows defender + emet don't affect anything so far.

do you mind to share the failure message? i have done this on different machines via both windows update and offline installer and they worked well.
