i currently running Windows 10 Pro with retail product key, can fresh install Windows 10 Home and activate it with this product key?

My dell desktop just did.
It says on the screen while loading, these updates are to protect you online.

then my kaspersky suddenly kaput and have to reactivate.

I keep failing to install this update "KB3172985 Fails to Install" on my Windows 10 Version 1511...

Any solution?

Or I just disable the windows update to prevent it to update?

restart the pc ?

run cmd in admin > type "net stop wuauserv" and "net stop bits"
once stopped successfully go C > windows > system32 > softwaredistributon > delete everything > reboot pc and check update again

tried...no luck

have you tried offline install?

download the version that you need and run it from stasio's links

try go to control panel select "Troubleshooting" > select "View all" in left menu > Select "Windows update" at the bottom. run the troubleshooting restart then try to update again.

tried the offline method as well
