Phew, from burning DVD to finish update took about half an hour, not as fast as fresh installation but at least zero problem occured, everything went smoothly.
Though the first message I got was CCleaner got uninstalled automatically due to compatible sweat.gif

Had a tad trouble with the mobile hotspot function though, seems like I got the ol' problem of my phone stuck at identifying Ip address, guess I still have to depend on 3rd party software for hotspot at the moment.
Also, ink is strictly activated ONLY with hand writing / touch devices connected? Hmm... maybe I get a wacom someday... hmm.gif

A Windows.old folder (~10GB) is created with previous build, safe to delete right? hmm.gif

i manage to delete the 2 recovery partition & merged the 2*450 MB un-allocated space with AOMEI on my SSD boot drive

furthermore, i merged 100 MB un-allocated space on my HDD & reboot, voila everything work included \\?\Volume{6a6f6053-bf2f-44cd-95ac-ab4442aef909}\ that appeared previously.

based on AOMEI status, i noticed that my boot drive got another 16 MB unknown file system flagged as GPT,MSR but disk management just just my EFI System Partition 99 MB & my boot drive so everything back to normal.

yes it's safe to remove the previous system backup if you have no plan to revert it.

you do keep a record of what you have purchased, right? if you don't, it's better to make sure everything is in place first.

right it depends on t&c of each software, but usually they should work well. if they don't, try contact the vendors for proper solutions. i'm sure they are glad to help you out.

I was wondering whether are we able to install the bootleg version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 or a bootleg of a latest version on Windows 10?

(I hope I'm not violating any rules by asking this question).

Thank you.

Not even reach 24 hours into update...
The only thing I did prior to this happens was just delete Windows.Old, rearrange Start menu (which seems kinda buggy as icon keep gone missing) & watch movie...
Good thing I have previous system image...

I straight up re-image back to before update version though, so can't check anything else. The error totally make the system DEAD, no chance of getting into Windows.
I just roll back and re-try update a gain now, see if it happens again tomorrow (hopefully not).

Clean install is kinda... I lazy to dealt with every single software and account any more sweat.gif

Oh ok

Actually i tweaked mine too: most parts of settings, registries, gpedit.msc, blackviper's service list, ssd optimization, dws (to remove all apps that i don't need), wise registry cleaner's optimizations, start menu, etc. all good.

Edit: and i think, for instance, you should use small util like keepass to manage accounts; it's much more convenient.

Previously before this Anniversary Update release i having an issue on my gpu driver. My laptop is Dell Vostro 3300 which has two GPU one is built in at the processor and another one standalone. So yesterday just had my update for this version 1607 build. So i try my luck to use my old driver which is for windows 7 switchable driver for nvidia. Seem it went through the installation and able to use now. So for those who having a same issue like mine can try it out now.

it got nothing to do with clean install, as i upgraded many pc using the windows update, all of them is working fine.

if it still happen, try reboot into safe mode.

i think your issue is most probably relate to incompatible driver or program, use blue screen viewer to check the dump file.
