IMO, I'd rather pay for Netflix than Astro.. Cuz they've got a business model I like (collect cash, get/make awesome content with no ads, rinse repeat).. But then, I'm no longer a sports fanatic who must watch live and know how to get the rest of the shows or content I like... Been with Netflix a couple years and plan to spend a couple more till either some other team overthrows them or they really start screwing us customers up.

TBH, iFlix is nice and doing a good job so far. I understand they probably don't have the resources to scale up and provide better services at this time. Not easy to go against deep pockets like Netflix, Hulu & Amazon.

They should've just cancelled it, the whole show revolves around Spacey and it's not the same without him.
It's not exactly a show like Being Human or Misfits where whole cast get replaced.

Possibly no more.. ruined career. Even with the ending of the previous season, I noticed they were "grooming" Claire.

IKR... I can't imagine the show without him. Each time he does that thing where he talks to people and then us behind the screen and back again to the characters. It's so seamless and engaging... I know it probably took multiple takes but still..goosebumps..

Seems like a host of Disney movies just got added as well. I don't recall having catalogue titles from Disney the last time I checked.

Netflix is much better. They have a biz model that most have been clamoring for. Easy monthly payments, no ads and said monthly payments are pooled to ensure smooth service and produce a wide range and number of solid original content.

Iflix business model was based on it operating without Netflix.... They built their business model on basis that Netflix not offering their business to us in SEA.

Precisely and why theirs can't gain much traction as they entered too late before bigger Netflix expanded. If I were a content producer and asked for exclusive rights by both Netflix and iFlix... Sure, offer it to the provider with the largest customer base and outreach.

Netflix is not an IPTV service. Use Google, there are other legitimate sources to get subscription to EPL, etc.

They just having SD quality content. So, typically that iflix pay for SD content only for now. Iflix just get some english & Korea drama. Nothing new.

As for netflix. What i hate is you need certificate device that support HD. Not all device like cheap China phone can get to watch in HD. Now more reason to watch Netflix. https://amanz.my/2018161269/

I actually approve of Netflix only allowing certified devices to get the full experience as if they unlock it for all, then they would have to deal with a lot of complaints from clueless users with crappy devices. Most often, the issues will be from the devices and or internet connection. There are actually a lot of smart devices that can run at fhd+.. Just that one who is able to seek out and pay for Netflix, should also be smart enough to get a capable device. Quite inexpensive at the moment.

for those with older tv's and not much access to alternative eng VOD, iflix is a low cost or zero cost option for limited stuff.

for those with 4k smart tv's, netfix experience is excellent - newer shows, superb quality, digital surround audio, but pay a fee.


about devices not certified by netflix, wasn't there some news last year about unifitv tying up with netflix?

if that is coming, a lot more people will get access to HD quality netflix, and at a reasonable price, i would think.

i wouldn't mind if i can get netflix 4k+digital audio via unifitv as say RM30 a month if unifi provide a new box with it.

netflix + unifitv will give good VOD and Live TV - that's a lot of good stuff.

IFlix content is not bad actually, but the big issue is the content quality. Nearly all movies is SD quality. TV show wise do some in HD or better than movies SD quality. It no longer meet the current market where more and more people prefer higher quality full HD or 4K. Even the Astro GO also realise this and upgrade the streaming quality to a good HD quality now.

Netflix is much expensive subscription but it give you 99.99% show with Full HD and up. I do found one of the very old documentary in 480p only. Some Netflix Original show now is in 4K and HDR. Netflix quality is absolutely stunning and 4K TV user should consider it to full enjoy your 4K TV up to maximum. Recently Netflix added in a lot blockbuster movies and more marvels title and finally Disney is coming in. It is not the latest yet though. Also more TV series from others company is coming in. This already make iFlix became less and less attractive. Also Netflix Original show especially those TV series is very well done, great storyline, great acting, great effect and cinematography. If you watch before then you will know how great Netflix Original TV series are.

If you only can pick one of it. I highly recommended Netflix for now. I myself having both since I got iFlix free. I hope iFlix notice it is time to give audience choice to choose HD quality subscription. If they want to survive, this is the wise choice to consider by them.

Netflix is not a sport channel and don't have single sport show. Netflix is not a live streaming services.

Netflix is purely a VOD for TV series and movies only.
