in your opinion, how high the ISO can be achived with Z5 while retaining acceptable quality?
when i was using RX100, I tend to use ISO 800 / 1600 when in indoor / night outdoor scene, the pic quality still very decent, of course it is a camera with 1" sensor, can't compare with phone
depend on situation.. in SA mode, software tend to pull ISO higher to get faster shutter speed, so in result u will feel picture looks grainy.. smartphone camera sensor was 1/2.3 inch, compare with 1" sensor in DSLR/camera, totally different case.. the light absorb in sensor was more than half difference.
so if smartphone can adjust shutter speed is the best.. but in our Sony software, try to use manual mode to get lower ISO and good shutter speed or there are 1 mode called ISO sensitivity, high ISO, but also can make shutter speed longer a bit.
I attached 1 photo sample with ISO sensitivity, ISO 3200, 1/8s, hold by my hand only, flash off. this photo is captured in night situation, but i want to test the camera of Z5p, so try to capture the things inside my bag with other phone like Note 4, Iphone 6.. only Sony able to capture the things inside clearly..
although Sony said our camera sensor can go up to 12800 ISO, only limited in Superior Auto, but im not sure when will trigger ISO 12800 photos, never get this before.. I do try got once ISO 6400 photo.. and quality is almost like attached.. we can see what we want to see, better than our eyes..
