Just watched Sony CES, there was nothing new about Xperia (rarely mentioned). We shall see what will be announced during MWC.

QUOTE(RX-78-2 @ Jan 10 2016, 03:49 PM) thanks guys!!! Opposite here, Sandisk drives drive me nuts. Kingston works great.just for my experience my own and ppl i knew, kingstone products are not reliable. Sandisk is still the best performance and reliable. But the performance crown still goes to Sandisk Extreme Pro. |

QUOTE(S_azlee @ Jan 17 2016, 02:53 PM) Hi. Pros : - Small - Camera autofocus is speedy - Video stabilization is the best at the moment - White balance is extremely accurate - 2 front facing speaker (nice surround) - Enhancement from DSEE HX is noticeable - Can be washed every now and then - Screen is usable with some water on it - Tamed the Snapdragon 810 well. The body is just warm. - Camera doesn't overheat like older generations - Extremely wide lens - The frosted glass has baby skin feeling Cons : - Screen pixel is noticeable sometimes - Screen has a reddish cast on stock setting, can be solved by adjusting the white balance - Takes time to get used to the fingerprint sensor - Camera doesn't have manual mode - Tends to exposure on bright side (Highlight blows out sometimes) - Weird camera logic that shouldn't exist : ---- Full Auto mode tends to choose high ISO, opening the brightness & colour menu will reduce the ISO by half ---- Full Auto mode doesn't trigger Low Light mode (ISO3200 above) when 23/20MP is chosen ---- Full Auto mode identifies the scene surprising accurate ---- Manual Mode + 23/20MP mode has no access to ISO control ---- Manual Mode + HDR has no access to ISO control ---- Manual Mode + Scenes has no access to 23/20MP (stuck at 8MP) - Luckily the 8MP is decent enough. I'm using 20MP for Full Auto mode and 8MP (Handheld Twilight) in manual mode for low light shots This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Jan 17 2016, 06:06 PM |

QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 20 2016, 12:40 PM) guy, im a xperia Z first gen user, since then how many Z series already came out, im thinking of upgrading to Z5, my issue with sony phone are camera and the sound quality, so how does this phone perform? how is the speaker and when using earphone? and most importantly, regarding the sd810 chip, does it really become very hot? 1) Camera is nice, but need to get used to it. Some tweaks here and there, not as simple as point and shoot.2) Speaker quality... dual front facing speaker. The volume is low, but sufficient. The surround sound is good. 3) The DSEE HX does a very good job in earphone. 4) Warm, not hot. Running antutu is just ~60C. Usual usage is around 43C only. Sony treated the processor like SD 808. The maximum simultaneous is just 4xA53 and 2xA57, but the one of the A57 will go offline very quickly, maybe active for 1 or 2 seconds only. QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Jan 28 2016, 11:25 PM) Just got the z5 premium. Notice is little laggy when playing game like subway surfer and clash of kings.thought this phone performance should be smooth? It could be due to the game not optimized enough for Snapdragon 810. Download PerfMon app from XDA and monitor the CPU usage when you are playing the game. The A53 (cores 0-3) should spike up to high usage and 1 A57 core is on. |

QUOTE(kazamakuroo @ Feb 14 2016, 02:46 AM) below is the example. The ISO is bumped up that high to achieve higher shutter speed to reduce motion blur / handshake. 1/25 is pretty close to the limit of that. Do you want to have a shaky picture? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « blow are the link i found people who had problem same with me but not local, that why im asking here. Z5 camera problem - Sonytalk Xperia z5 red tint problem - XDA forum So that is why im asking if some of you guys having same problem as mine ? i was using Z5 dual gold colour and the box was the james bond specter display. |

Anyone noticed after using fingerprint, you still need to put in pin number?
QUOTE(junkyman @ Mar 8 2016, 12:33 PM) It does reduce in Z5 Compact. Now it is not noticeable now, as opposed to warm in 5.1This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Mar 8 2016, 06:05 PM |

QUOTE(tennytyy @ Mar 8 2016, 06:25 PM) Nope, I keep everything stock.Bug 1 : Small app launch menu overlaps with on screen buttons, so it is pretty hard to press it without triggering the back button. This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Mar 8 2016, 06:31 PM |

QUOTE(tennytyy @ Mar 8 2016, 06:34 PM) That's weird. Ahh, got it! I used Greenify to hibernate + lock screen. In my case, if i off my screen by tapping the screen off app, upon unlocking it requires me to key in pin after fingerprint. In other case i off the screen by pressing power button, no need to key in pin after fingerprint unlocked |

The small apps issue is gone after restarting to safe mode, use it then back to normal mode.

QUOTE(mcchin @ Mar 10 2016, 05:14 PM) for me it seems that the only app usable to detect USB otg is ES File Explorer If you boot into safe mode, you will find it is fine. Not even File Commander, FX app can detect ![]() then there is this annoying thing.... ![]() obviously this is a true bug see the top blue portion the whole page was offset to the bottom ..... still able to change some default icon to Xperia X version ![]() which is nice for once |
