QUOTE(kingkingyyk @ Jan 20 2016, 12:45 PM) 1) Camera is nice, but need to get used to it. Some tweaks here and there, not as simple as point and shoot. wow.. how do you know that, is there any app to detect these?2) Speaker quality... dual front facing speaker. The volume is low, but sufficient. The surround sound is good. 3) The DSEE HX does a very good job in earphone. 4) Warm, not hot. Running antutu is just ~60C. Usual usage is around 43C only. Sony treated the processor like SD 808. The maximum simultaneous is just 4xA53 and 2xA57, but the one of the A57 will go offline very quickly, maybe active for 1 or 2 seconds only. even when playing demanding games also use one A57 only? |

downloaded CPU-z, yes indeed only one A57 is on at all times
to my surprise, in a separate tab in CPU-z, the screen resolution shows 1920*1080 on Z5P, the trick is to upscale from full HD to UHD, not even 2K experience .. no wonder i never feel the fonts is as sharp as a Note 4 |

share a few sample shots taken by my Z5P
all were in SA mode » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « notice the shutter speed are all fixed to 1/32 while in indoor, the highest ISO is only 650 (not shown here) |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jan 31 2016, 12:44 AM) Looks good. Yeah. One thing that I noticed, if u feel iso is high, you may adjust the brightness in SA mode, it will keep iso lower and longer the shutter speed a bit. in your opinion, how high the ISO can be achived with Z5 while retaining acceptable quality? when i was using RX100, I tend to use ISO 800 / 1600 when in indoor / night outdoor scene, the pic quality still very decent, of course it is a camera with 1" sensor, can't compare with phone |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Feb 1 2016, 07:30 AM) depend on situation.. in SA mode, software tend to pull ISO higher to get faster shutter speed, so in result u will feel picture looks grainy.. smartphone camera sensor was 1/2.3 inch, compare with 1" sensor in DSLR/camera, totally different case.. the light absorb in sensor was more than half difference. haha, i intend to use only Z5P while in short trip like local or thailand, feels odd and troublesome to carry additional camera so if smartphone can adjust shutter speed is the best.. but in our Sony software, try to use manual mode to get lower ISO and good shutter speed or there are 1 mode called ISO sensitivity, high ISO, but also can make shutter speed longer a bit. I attached 1 photo sample with ISO sensitivity, ISO 3200, 1/8s, hold by my hand only, flash off. this photo is captured in night situation, but i want to test the camera of Z5p, so try to capture the things inside my bag with other phone like Note 4, Iphone 6.. only Sony able to capture the things inside clearly.. although Sony said our camera sensor can go up to 12800 ISO, only limited in Superior Auto, but im not sure when will trigger ISO 12800 photos, never get this before.. I do try got once ISO 6400 photo.. and quality is almost like attached.. we can see what we want to see, better than our eyes.. ISO sentitivity supports 23MP? |

QUOTE(Upsilon @ Feb 15 2016, 12:34 PM) camera quality is very not predictive, however, when it is working correctly it is delivering gorgeous shots (if you know what you're doing, that is). no raw format output, no much thing to do in manual mode tho. that also means the quality is not consistent and the sony algorithm hasn't matured yetheat problem... from what i read it is a common problem for smartphone sporting snapdragon 810, but sony definitely did some things to help the heating problem, very much usable most of the time without burning my hands (but then i am using a ringke case so....) |

QUOTE(neikichi @ Feb 23 2016, 11:04 PM) Woah my z5p just suddenly got that sudden death thing happened, idk what happen im not playing game, it's after i use whatsapp like usual and put it down, then when i pick it up again to like 2mins it's not responding. so i press long on the power button for sometime it still did not respond, then i put it down and googled it to check what's happening when it suddenly starting to boot up. anyone else had this problem? bought it on chor 3 only already got problem? similar to minehappened twice already, in the middle of a call, suddenly the voice became like the sound when Windows is just about to throw BSOD, then black screen, then auto-reboot, suspect was due to overheating, because calling people while Waze was still active in the background, and bluetooth was connected to HU as well |

Is there many bugs with Marshmallow?
OTG can work with FX or not? Even FX can recognize it, the more important thing is for MX Player to recognize it |

i think the OTG issue is a wide known issue across all marshmallow devices
only way is to wait for the app devs to update their respective file managers google oh google, now i know why most app devs prefer to develop for iOS instead This post has been edited by PhakFuhZai: Mar 12 2016, 12:27 AM |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Mar 12 2016, 02:21 AM) May I know what otg issue are you mentioning? Sorry that if I missed your details in previous. Can't recall it. i am able to view the USB content using the native "pop up" app, but there's no way of writing to it, nor is it able to be detected by FX file manager and MX media playerFrom my z5p, I'm able to use otg. from OS perspective, it is as if the OTG does not get mounted at all, but somehow it got read by the native app searched across the web, found out quite a number of these issues surfaced after updated to MM, an example is Moto G http://www.pcnexus.net/2016/01/moto-g-2015...-android-m.html for my case i can't even use ES file manager |

Took a lot beautiful photos which mode did you use in broad daylight? sometimes i tend to use SA in all circumstances due to faster AF, and it is especially useful when asking stranger to help take photo of u |

Total duration should be around half hour only.. not afraid the risk of having salt trapped inside the phone once the sea water evaporated? |
