Anyone updated to 10.11.4 and have battery drain issue? My rMBP 2015 13, using xcode and chrome only, can get around 6 hours , before update i can get around 8 - 9 hours.
*
So far like normal though. Need a few days then only can tell whether ok or not. The new lockable feature in "Notes' is welcomed though.

Guys, until now still having problem which cannot complete the itune and app store registration. Apple ID is created but when i wanna upgrade El Capitan software for my MBP 2010 version, it is not working.

Everytime after clicking next from the credit card page, it said that my request is temporarily not available. Please try later.

Damn.. why ah?
*
Don't get what you mean bro. I thought El Capitan is all free upgrade?

I upgraded my rmbp from previous version without any issues.

Hello everyone,

I've got a question for the Macbook Pro. A friend of mine is selling his Macbook Pro 13 retina, A1502 mid-2014 model.

The specs are the basic one;
2.6GHz Intel i5,
128gb SSD - proprietary PCIe (WTF),
8GB ram - non upgradable, soldered RAM,
Intel Iris Graphic Processor.

Warranty just finished.
He's asking for RM2800.
Is it a good deal?

Can you expert provide some opinion?
*
Very good price on this. Only complain would be the 128GB ssd. At the current pricing, this is a gem.

Guys, i wanna make a survey and ask opinions.

How good is 10.11.X el capital to macbook pro?Are there any known issues and is 10.11.3 stable enough?

I'm currently on 10.10.5 yosemite and quite hesitated to update to 10.11.3

but i really liked the two pane feature tho

thx in advance
*

Any more features? Heard that Secure Empty Trash is no longer available
*
I would imagine apple have beefed up their security with el capitan. AFAIK, what I have been using before this may it be apps/games, there are no issues like lagging or freezes.

hi guys
im a noob in mac...so wanna ask how to optimize or maintain your mac software? suddenly my macbook pro late 2014 feels damn sluggish despite having over 70% free hard disk space
*
These are the softwares that I have installed that keeps my rmbp in top form...
1.Battery Health
2.Memory clean
3.Disk Doctor
4.Duplicate Finder
5.Malwarebytes Anti Malware
6.Macs Fan Control
7.Updating Mac Os whenever available.

Some of the above are freeware and some need to purchase. Anyways the combination above makes my mac happy and I have no major issues since.

Just saw some coating issues on my display and warranty expired 1 month ago sad.gif Is it covered even without warranty?
*
If I am not mistaken, anti reflective coating issues got no expiry. Someone posted much earlier that they have replacement program for this issue. But if the unit is a recent buy <7 days, exchange 1 to 1, if not they replace the lcd which unfortunately may take some time.

I too have issues on mine but in my opinion is not so severe. It like lines here and there which during operation does not impede on the usage experience, so I do not mind.

the coating damage not so visible when using the macbook.

when power off can see quite noticeable..sweat.gif
*
This coating is to minimise any reflection when we use the macbook outside in the broad daylight. So far I use it with no ill effect. Thats is why i am holding on to it and not send it back for repairs. I do not have a spare notebook for work.

Mine got a few dotes and one small line.. I think it is caused by the touchpad/keyboard
*
Yes I too have the same sort of marks, I think its also due to the keys rubbing. Anyways it does not effect my viewing so I'm good to go so far..

oh thx for the info. took off the case after using it for 4 months, rMBP feels a lot lighter and more compact. never expected such a noticeable difference with/without case.  biggrin.gif

Naked is the way to go, unless you use your notebook outside in harsh environment. Better heat dissipation and can enjoy its beauty. Just take care where its being placed during usage. smile.gif

The following apps in my opinion to get your rmbp in tip top condition:-
1. Malwarebytes Anti Malware-as the title implies.-
2. Disk Doctor-manages storage and deleting files
3. Duplicate Finder.-as the title implies.
4. Macs Fan Control.-useful on a hot day or during a marathon.
5. Battery Health.-takes care and monitor your batts.
6. Memory Clean.-takes care of your ram and frees them easily.
and lastly...
TechTalkAmerica..Online resource everything about Apple Platform, how to etc etc.

Thats about covers it.

Help needed,

I noticed that when rmbp closed lid, any downloading happening at that time will also stop. Where do I set it so as not to stop any downloading tasks?

Thanks in advance.

This is the setting of a macbook. When you close the lid, it is automatically switched to sleep mode.
Nothing can be done to change this setting.
I recommend you to either not to close the lid, or connect your MBP to a monitor when you want to do so (but you have to go to Energy Saver in System Preference and slide computer sleep to never).
*
Ahh.. I thought so too. Okey Thanks alot for your help bro.

hi guys, I'm using a macbook pro 13 retina display(late 2012).

Seems like my safari can't stream 1440p 60fps youtube videos, it is not even an option in safari to click on. However when i use chrome, the option appears but theres severe stuttering and its not watchable.

May i know if anyone has the same problem ?

Sample video

*
I watched the sample video, no issues whatsoever. And I am using safari. rmbp 2014
