They don't really care who purchases or whose credit card it is using. The transaction will still go through and with most times no questions asked at all.

Of all the friends i know purchases from k-12 store. Only one got an email from Apple asking them for proof. Mind you, that is actually after the machine got delivered to his residence which in theory you won't even need to bother replying the email since you already got charged and received your goods.

If that happens, just find some student identification or just say you are buying it for some minor who is still at school. How could apple expect someone not yet in the working industry to have a credit card, right?

Shipping time of 6-8 weeks is just absolutely ridiculous lah   On another note, just dropped and cracked my iPhone screen 

What do you expect. They got themselves into a spot that is difficult to get out when they launched macbook with a retina display.

If they refresh the air with retina display. That would render the macbook line utterly useless except for it being ridiculously thin. The air has a better processor and now if they give it retina display which everyone is hoping for. How do they hope to differentiate between air and macbook?

I've just bought my iPhone 7. I'm broke again!
Unfortunately I have to get a new phone as my old one has just become unusable (screen kept flickering and touchscreen was completely unresponsive)

I'll wait for the tear down released by ifixit before deciding to make my existing MBP as desktop station (and get a new MBP) or to get a Mac mini. I estimate it will be months later.

ic. last month when iphone 7 launches, i am actually looking forward to change my iPhone 6+ to 7+ since it was already 2 years and my line is ready for re-contract. However, i did not manage to get the first batch of iPhone and all the telcos still lack of stock for jet black even now. So kind of loss interest in iphone 7+.

Instead, I am more excited about this new macbook pro. 

mac mini has no update, i dun think u gonna get the current gen which is more than 2 years old rite?
no rumours on the mac mini so I guess unlikely it will be updated any time soon.

Jet black is ugly, especially when you had your fingerprints on it. It looks plastic as how iPhone used to be during 3GS. Matte black is just nice.

I'm not interested in Mac Mini of 2014 version but 2012 version as it has upgradable ram slot. Besides, it is the 1st Mac mini which can support continuity and Handoff.

I use case, technically no matter what color it makes no difference  as I won't even touch the phone for 2nd time once the case is on.

Buying jet black the simple reason is it is new color, and limited new color. if u look thru the engineering process, it involves more steps to product this finish. So in terms of value, this color will pose better value than other colors. From the stock level availability can tell this too.

Mini 2012 is good, but now can only get from 2nd hand. Not easy also difficult to tell the condition of it.
