Hi guys

I am going to service my inspira for 40k and got questions as below:

1. I have changed CVT oil around 15k lasttime due to accident. So i should change the cvt oil during 40k or 50/55k(follow every 40k interval for cvt oil)?
2. shell helix oil from tesco and selling by lazada is original or not? Heard it's from EU, suitable to inspira engine or not?
http://www.lazada.com.my/shell-helix-hx7-s...23472.html?mp=1

Thanks in advance.

1. CVT oil who says interval is 40k? I thought Proton Manual says differently?

2, As for engine oil, we have a fellow owner here who send his engine oil to some US Lab for testing, perhaps you can check with him

Thanks meetoo

sorry bro, i am referring to lancer's manual, 40k for cvt oil change, dont bash me, i got the manual from this thread also, around 2011 lasttime. Summore there a lot of advise to change the cvt oil during 40k.

May i know who is the owner send his engine oil to US lab? From my reading, the oil from tesco orignally come and packed in EU, just asking here if anyone have experience using the shell helix oil from tesco.

Thanks

Proton suggest 100k km interval to change CVT oil...

Tesco engine oil are much better and safer to buy than spare parts shop...confirm original...

Thats the problem with some of the owners here, they keep following the Lancer manual forgetting they walked into Proton to buy their car not Mitsubishi (except one guy jnick)

Also some of them here drive like a mad man.... until brake disc also can glow RED like F1 cars... its a surprise they didnt change their CVT oil at 20k...

As for our engine oil expert, perhaps you would like to get in touch with k00Lric he is one of the pioneer of LowYat Inspira Club! His knowledge of engine oil can fill a 2TB HDD

Topic about Fuel Filters and why it costs about RM3xx+ to Rm4xx.

For a while I have been wondering why do they sell the entire pump casing with the fuel filter while we can buy it from taobao or local marketplace at way cheaper price.

Turns out the filter is actually sealed in the casing itself and has to be cut open if you want to take it out. Which means destroying the pump casing.

The flat pillow thing is actually called a fuel strainer.
