Hi, Shifu

1. Preferred Brand: Any
2. Budget: below 1k is the best
3. Usage: downloading Movies, youtube, songs (for Auntie)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : Any
5. Weight: Any
6. RAM: Any
7. Battery life: Any
8. Screen resolution: at least HD
9. Special request : as a connector to TV for watching movies with full HD screen and high resolution

Thanks.
*
This one has 15.6" HD screen and big enough for movie. biggrin.gif
Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBY 80MJ00BAMJ 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (N2840, 2GB, 500GB, Integrated, W10H)

The resolution of FHD in TV is depending on your TV screen, not affected by the screen of your laptop. All you need is just a HDMI cable. biggrin.gif

Shifu, then any other brand recommendations? I like HP brand too.  notworthy.gif

Since you like HP, you can check out this one. It is around 3k though. 14" inches, 1.6kg, (2) USB 3.0, (1) USB 2.0. The battery life should be able to last for more than 6 hours. So, it is a good to go laptop!
HP ProBook 440 G3 T0P68PT 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6200U, 4GB, 500GB, Intel, W10P DG W7P) RM3.1k/-

If you prefer something even lighter, you can look into Asus. 1.2kg with 9 hours battery life. (3) USB 3.0 But the drawback is smaller screen 13.3".
Asus ZENBOOK UX305CA-FC065T 13.3" Laptop/ Notebook (m3-6Y30, 4GB, 128GB SSD, Integrated, W10H) RM2.8k/-

Hope this helps. biggrin.gif

Hi there, If HP 15-AC624TU/ 625TU Celeron N3050/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DVDRW/ 15.6/ W10 (T5R42PA#UUF) Vs the lenovo u mentioned, which one is more better? In term of screen and quality?

Is it much more better to upgrade to an Intel i3 or Amd A8 if i multitasking?(Xunlei + Chorme + video player + mp3 player?)

Thanks in advance
notworthy.gif
*
Ya, you definitely need a better processor for multi-tasking. Intel i3 is a good to go. biggrin.gif

You will need at least GTX950M GPU for about 28FPS in high settings for this game. Or if you prefer a more stable FPS, then get a GTX960M. It is able to render the graphic at 36FPS.

If you have the budget for a GTX960M, go for Dell Inspiron 7559 (about 3.7k/-)
Dell Inspiron 15 7559-30414G-W10 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6300HQ, 4GB, 1TB, NV GTX960M, W10H)

For GTX950M laptops, if you don't really care about the processor performance, go for the Acer one. That model is one of the cheapest gaming laptop. If you do care about the processor, go for the HP one. biggrin.gif
HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ak031TX 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6300HQ, 4GB, 1TB, NV GTX950M, W10H) 3.5k/-
Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7-572G-57N0 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6200U, 4GB, 1TB HDD, NV GTX950M, W10H) 3.1k/-

Hope this helps. thumbup.gif

Lightweighted right? This is 1.2kg only. Around RM2.8k/-
Asus ZENBOOK UX305CA-FC065T 13.3" Laptop/ Notebook (m3-6Y30, 4GB, 128GB SSD, Integrated, W10H)

If you want convertible, go for Dell. 1.66kg. Around RM2.9k/-
Dell Inspiron 13 7359T-1045SG-W10 13.3" Laptop/ Notebook (i3-6100U, 4GB, 500GB, Intel, W10H)

Dell Inspiron 7447 is the most reliable one among the three choices that you have. biggrin.gif

But you can consider Dell Inspiron 7559 DOS is less than 3.4k and get a genuine OS key from garage sales for less than RM100. icon_idea.gif

Hi I'm looking for a laptop. Appreciate if you could give your recommendation~

Preferred Brand: any brand
2. Budget: between 2.5k to 3k would be fine
3. Usage: movies, downloading, surfing net (doing these at the same time, don't want the computer to lag when open too many applications)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: Any
5. Other preference: lightweight, slim, long battery life, less heat, silent

i'm looking at these few below, which do u think is the best among them based on the requirement i've listed?

1) Asus Zenbook UX305FA
2) Lenovo U41-70
3) Asus K401LB
4) Acer Aspire R 14 R5-471T-53ZK

Please feel free to suggest any other brand/model other than the above list if u think there are better ones....

Thank you so much!!
*
From your requirement, I think you are a female laptop user. laugh.gif go for the first one. That one is 1.2kg only. And uses SSD. Since you dont do gaming, that laptop is very good already. The battery life is more than 7 hours if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you boss. Right now seriously considering dell 7559.  thumbup.gif

Ya, it is a good one. But note that the RM3.4k one is DOS which you have to install all the drivers and OS yourself ya. And usually those DOS laptops are more reliable than the ones that come with OS.

UX305FA-FC071H / Intel Core M-5Y71 / 8GB / 256 SSD

Out of all the above, is it to get  Intel Core M-5Y71 / 8GB / 256 SSD is the best? higher the spec the better?

may i know where yr sis bought it? u have any trustable dealer/ shop that u recommend? i'm not quite familiar with which shop is genuine...hehe...thanks so much....^^
*
The processor M-5Y71 is slightly better than the M-5Y10. I doubt 128GB storage is enough for you. Get the 256GB one if you don't have any external HDD lying around. Go for the 8GB one if possible, 4GB is not gonna be enough for Windows 10 imho. biggrin.gif

My sister bought it from ICT Mall in Penang wor. But you can go Brightstar in Lowyat. Trusted one. biggrin.gif
