From the website....

I can see few jerseys that are fake.

user posted image
The jerseys's ABN AMBRO sponsors look too bold. Original ones have sharper letters

user posted image
The shirt sizing is incorrectly printed near the collars. It should be printed at the blue side of the jersey, not red side. Should have 90 minutes logo. Besides Nike has NEVER ever release a Man Utd blue jersey with AIG sponsors. It still sells with vodafone sponsors.

user posted image
There are no gold lines near the shoulders of the jersey for the original jersey

user posted image
AIG sponsors should be white. Gold collars looks too wide. Retailed item has no AIG sponsors (but I manage to obtain a XXL ori one with AIG sponsors)

user posted image
Wah... Chelsea has not yet officially launch it or sold it, this guy can sell it already. Typical fake jersey.

My guess is... this guy sells all fake jerseys.

Although from naked eye might look like ori or same like ori, trust me... when u see closely you can see the difference. Fake jerseys or grade A jerseys are crap and awful.

No problem my friend. It's just a hobby... and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. You can also refer to aw13, he's also very knowledgeable and got loads of experience.. We are football jersey collectors. No matter how hard the pirates try to imitate the real stuff.. they will still fail to make the 100% exact copy..

Anyway... tum tidum... today one of my purchases from ebay has arrived safely to my house. Used International Registered mail so that if I wasn't at home (the item requires my signature because it's registered mail) then the postman will leave my favourite pink notification card in my mail box. This card is used to collect the posted item at my nearest Post Office center the next working day. So the next day, which was today, I went to collect it and syukur Alhamdulillah!... Manchester United's 2002-2004 home goalkeeper shorts (as worn by Barthez, Howard and Carroll) has arrived. And it's code 7, which is a player version item:

user posted image
The new shorts arrived while it's still wrapped inside it's nike plastic bag. Typical presentation way to impress the ebay buyer. Sometimes they use re-used nike plastic bag or just open it, take photo and put in ebay and put back the item inside the plastic bag and wrap it again.... Anyway it still looks good to me...

user posted image
Item's condition is new with tags. Still can smell the shorts whith the typical 'bau kedai' scent... my favourite scent anyway, hehe..

user posted image
The tag shows the bar code and design code (786972) which indicates that this is a Code 7 item and a player version shorts. Code 7 tags are simple and one piece only. No other tag infos such as Nike Sphere Dry, NikeFit, bla bla.. and no price tag is placed because these items are meant to be produced to be worn straight away by Man United players, not for merchandising items such as items sold in megatore.

user posted image
Correct sizing (XXL with 40-42 inches measurement). Fake jerseys/shorts sometimes give wrong info. Don't get me wrong, even though it's Made in Thailand but it's an original item. Nike teams such as Arsenal, Inter Milan, Barca and United have shorts made in Thailand. I saw Portugal's shorts that are Made in Vietnam. Due to globalisation.

user posted image
All Nike football shorts have inner layers (second layer inside the short that acts like a brief or underwear)..

user posted image

user posted image
But for Code 7 or player version shorts, the inner layer has ventilation holes! I guess they are meant to provide air circulation/cooling to the player's balls or lil' bro.. haha..

Compare the shorts to one of my Man United shorts that I have, which is the 2004-2006 home shorts which is a replica version (code 1):

user posted image
It also has inner layers that acts as the football shorts's briefs.

user posted image
The inner layer is plain and has no ventilation holes like the player version one.

Now waiting for my Man United 2002-2004 XXXL goalkeeper jersey (short sleeves). Sadly it's a replica version but nevermind.... At least I have finally own a Code 7 item.

There are only 2 types of design codes for Nike football jerseys/shorts. Code 1 (example 1xxxxx) is for replica shirts/shorts. Here is an example (borrowed photos for Razurya):

Code 7 (example 7xxxxx) is for player version shirts/shorts:

The price of the item is GBP9.99. It was a 'buy now' item, not auctioned typed item. Postage fee for this item was GBP7.50 for International Registered Mail (requires signature during receiving item from postman) and I added GBP3.50 for Insurance. Insurance was optional because if the item was lost, I can get a full refund from seller.

So the total price for this short was GBP20.99 or RM145.

You can visit ebay's site here where I won this item:

speaking from experience, don't think adidas has codes to differentiate, but maybe on the 'technology' used. previously adidas has a Climalite (replica) and Climacool (player) but has since upgraded to Climacool (replica) and Formotion (player). also, there will also be subtle diffs along the way, for e.g. prints v embroidery, seams v stitches, etc. all these will change as more and more new innovations are rolled out over the years.

Aaron is correct, adidas has no coding used to differentiate replica and player version. Let me show some pics to just give some idea of the differences:

I'll use a comparison between replica and player version Liverpool home red and third kit..

user posted image
Replica uses CLIMACOOL but player version uses FORMOTION

user posted image
Replica has a 'peanut' shape logo while player version doesn't.

This one's interesting.. For player version jerseys, adidas provides an extra layer plastik to cover the embroidery of the adidas and liverpool logo that is embroided to the jersey. While the replica has no such protective layer applied.

Same goes to the home red jersey:

While the player version has the seams glued on to, the replica has it embroided..

Quite interesting..

Sure man.. No problem. Here's what I want you to do...

Take photos of the jersey. Make sure you take pictures of the:

1. Sizing info near the collars
2. Inside the jersey at the bottom half (right hand side if you're facing at the jersey) there are some inside tags.
3. Full view of the jersey.
4. Price tags if got any

I can try and check if they are ori or not.

That's true. The same technology shown is also applied and used to the Chelsea kits. Sorry I don't have pics of the Chelsea comparison but they are similar.

I'm told from my brother that 3 items I bought from ebay has arrived today. Man United 2002-2004 XXXL home goalie kit, Man Utd 2002-2003 player version blue 3rd kit with SILVESTRE 27 and Man Utd 1999-2000 Third training kit. Will upload photos later to share with you guys..
