Well, there's one 32 inch Panasonic LCD (700 series) coming this June, which can accept 1080p signals too with the new and updated Vierra processing chip. Wasted that they only make LCD tvs up to 32 inch. doh.gif

Dead pixels should be a thing of the past if it's a grade 'A' panel and Samsung in some countries offer zero dead pixel warranty. I'm not sure about Samsung Malaysia, perhaps someone can check it out. If they can give such a warranty, I'm pretty sure that they're confident with their quality control.

Just bought Samsung LA32R81B for Rm3850 from SenQ in penang with 2 options for bracket + installation.
One at Rm130 being the cheaper one and Rm250 being the better one. Went for the better one at Rm250.

Not sure if this LCD TV is any good but was eyeing for the LA27R71 and ended up with this.

Heard Sony is a lot better with its Bravia. and heard that there's 3 manufacturers for the panels for samsung
best quality and the same comes with product code S behind the panel and that is the same panel sony is using.

C being the lowest and A being the mid range model code.

Cable has to be hacked into the walls if you want neat. The tv on the wall still has space at the back for ventilation, it's not that bad, otherwise all the demo displays in the stores would spoil first.

A lot of brands now got 32" at around that price.

Samsung got a model just below RM3,000/-
I saw one LG model displayed price at R2,799/-
Panasonic has also come out with a 32" around RM3,000/-
Toshiba should also be around that price... etc. etc.

As for recommendations, I better leave it to the sifus. But to me Samsung look brilliant at the showrooms, but that's because they are using their own customised player with a high quality feed.

Samsung got a model below RM3K? I guess it was the obsolete model, and not the latest S8.

For RM3K, got a few choices. Cheapest is LG. Then, Tosh Regza follow by Panasonic and Samsung.

Ya..Courts is clearing the S7 Stock now..but i also dont recommend that model as it has only 170 viewing angle.. Thus, Samsung dont have 32" below RM3k price tag now..

Samsung LCD has great outlook with its piano finish but it has dust and finger print problem.. doh.gif
