Qatar YQ is around 2x of CX  sweat.gif

JAL YQ seems to be the mildest so I prefer to redeem their flights.
*
But jal J not that good except the long haul sky suite 1.

But JAL F is good

Hi, would like to ask a few questions here, sorry if it's a repeat question  sweat.gif

1. Is it easier to get upgraded from economy to business instead of redeeming an business class ticket directly?

2. Do I need to have sufficient miles in my account to be put in the wait-list? Asking this because I'll mostly be transferring miles from my CC to the FF account.
*
1) they have diff inventories, but most of the time the inventories overlap I think

2) KF yes, AM no

In a way, if they overlap, that means it technically doesn't make a difference?
*
No, sometimes even there is award on business class, but it doesn’t show in the space for upgrade from economy to business.

For AM,
best is confirm your flight number that you want to take, and available seat.
Call AM regarding the redemption, pay the airport charges.

Using form will take longer time, which might end up in the ocean.
*
Their call center sometimes also take forever to reach the agent

You cant upgrade the cheapest ticket, ie Economy Lite to Business.
Most of the time if you see availability for Business, you should be able to upgrade (but no guarantee).
I will suggest you redeem directly for business ticket, unless your ticket is paid under company expenses and you can upgrade into business on your own.
*
Sometimes their premium economy ticket will cheaper than their highest priced economy tic

Yup, if I'm buying economy, I'll be buying the upgradeable fare. Thinking of doing this as redeeming 3 for business directly may not be enough.
*
Then u better cal in center and ask if there is 3 award space for upgrade before u purschase the ticket

Oh, you can do that? For every airline? I remember KF's call center in India isn't that great. Someone told me calling the US number will likely put you to the SG call center.
*
I think you refer to Sq right?
English most likely direct to Philippine I think ?

need a little bit of help here.

- what are the chances on waitlist on asiamiles

- i noticed that all JAL flight are full from KL no matter which date i chose.

- any other tips redeeming flights flight to japan using asiamiles. it seems osaka is a very hard route to get.

called in managed to get the easiest flight is KUL-HK, but HK - KIX is damn hard to find all jal flights are also full to next year.

is that common for JAL to be so full, as i am checking through BA there are some redemption left.
*

Which part of Europe do you fancy?

When an airline like Singapore Airline won the title for Best Airline in the world for few years - you shouldn't doubt them you know...

On the other hand, FFP like Enrich and Asia Miles have risk parking your miles with them. Both MAS & Cathay are loss making airlines for years...
*
I would say don’t park miles in any FFP, always park in bank card until have a plan to redeem or when the bank devalue. Bank card rewards point hold better value than individual FFP

Question to sifus here:
1) Maybank 2 premier amex
2) Maybank world master
3) Maybank Singapore Airline Krisflyer

lets say, i spend LOCALLY only, to collect free flights points of Krisflyer. not to compare loungue access or whatever other benefts....

Which of the above will help me get TERBANYAK krisflyer points after conversion from treatspoint?

just read from GenX blog at July post:
"As for Air Miles, the Maybank 2 Gold Cards AMEX, Maybank 2 Platinum Cards AMEX and Maybank 2 Cards Premier AMEX Reserve are the best!"
so can conclude maybank krisflyer card cant beat my current M2C platinum amex....
*
If u spend between 60k to 200k, amex krisflyer earning power is RM1 to 1 miles, same as 2card premier , which is better than Maybank 2 card

walao...Numerous platforms like RentHero and CardUp have sprung up, allowing you to buy miles from 1.2 cents each

1.2 cent usd means around RM0.05 per krisflyer miles. is it so cheap???
*
It is not cheap, is just fair value, I personally will not pay 0.05 for krisflyer miles
