smaller files, fabulous quasar can do direct on the tv itself, don't even need a box!

yes, i understand that 5ghz as a higher frequency is stronger than 2.4 but with higher losses, it's only good for short distances.

question is how short is short... 20, 30, 50, 100ft? at what point does it negate the use of 5ghz? depends on the router specs, i would think.

"throughput" - this is interesting,  meaning it can "push" more bits and bytes per sec? if so, that will surely be good.

my android box can take everything except this size of bdmv's when it comes to streaming wifi 2.4ghz from pc.

Select the same picture mode (preferably movie mode) on both TVs and play the same source files (bring yours along.. Various resolutions and formats).. Compare and listen to your eyes..  Out of courtesy & not to waste the sales guy/gal's time, make sure you have truly decided and ready to buy on the spot before asking for such favors..

Man... no offense, but spending close to RM2K and can't even handle DTS in today's age, was a bad decision... There are 5.1 Home Theaters that come standard with HDMI inputs (minimum 2) and can handle DD, Dolby True HD, core DTS, DTS-HD, etc, which costs the same or even cheaper... Besides aesthetics, which to me is of a far lower priority, where sound is concerned.. I never did fancy soundbars and have considered them as overpriced.. Unfortunately, the purchase has been done... I'd advice, if you can't find an acceptable workaround on this... Sell off the soundbar and cut your losses... Get an entry-level AVR + speakers or a branded HT.. Much better performance.
