QUOTE(Zot @ Apr 25 2016, 08:08 AM) Did you know the detail of what they do? If for just removing the parquet, it is expensive. Probably can just remove it yourself. It was just glued to the floor Removing and also surface leveling. So far estimated about RM1800 just to do both How much did yours cost altogether? |

hi guys,~ it seems like the most popular laminate flooring brands ppl use on lowyat is either Robina or Innovar. Please correct me, both of this brands are Made in Malaysia? Range of price is about 4rm-9rm/sqft for these 2 brands How about imported laminates? anyone consider imported brands? I believe they are also roughly same price with local made laminates? Has anyone else consider KronoSwiss? Claimed and printed Made in Switzerland. My idea is: if its roughly same price with Robina/Innovar...u choose made in Msia or made in Swiss~? Anyone else has such thinking? fishmango liked this post

no laminate can stay clear of termites unless is WPC. Is better u do yearly check up for termites as is not only affect ur floor it will affect your roof, furniture and all thats. and one time check is 50 bux, so is well worth it.

QUOTE(pyy @ May 11 2016, 11:18 AM) Wpc = wood plastic composite I have this laminated floor, can't recall what brand it is, that has been "termited". It was not supposed to, not at least for 20 years, but it was. I don't think it is WPC though.Half wood half plastic But is not recommended since it is plastic and plastic have degradation which is bad for health Actually, this is located at the kitchen floor but it is not the waterproof type, There was a pipe burst and it was flooding all over the floor. I did not get it replaced for few years I'm looking for the water-proof type which I know only Floor Depot has it. I guess the termite issue most likely because of the boards were soaked with water and lost their termite-proof property. What do you think? Looks like termites go through the concrete wall cracks and also wiring. I had those cracks around the house poured with termite poison already and also at two sockets that caused power trip. So far looks okay |
