Hi, I'm planning to get a really cheap data plan (slow is ok, as long as got stable connectivity).

My phone somehow cannot access online matchmaking via data, can only access via wifi, and I have a dongle lying around so I'm planning to use it as a wifi source.

The online matchmaking doesn't use much quota, just 100kb per run or so, which implies that I don't have to spend on hefty quotas, just minimal quotas will do.

From where I live (Penang), I don't think connectivity is an issue, but just worried that the telco service doesn't have stable connectivity.

Any recommendations?

I'm looking for a prepaid plan with very long validity (more or less a year) and has a cheap data plan for light users. I seldom use up to 2gb a month and would like to keep the data plan active according to validity.

My usage is not consistent so having to top-up every month and seeing the data accumulate is vexing. That and these plans want me to "buy more to save more".

Is there any plan that's better?

AFAIK, freebies like data are based on individual plan/version, which user can use so long as the line is active, regardless of method used in ensuring that.

How about Xpax? Anyone has been using it? I passed by its store and found out there is a plan by Xpax which is triple the previous allocated data but with same price?! I wonder if this is a good deal?
