What is OneXOX ?

Extract from
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=81245526

Onexox is mobile operator with mlm style business. Joint onexox as dealer for RM278 and start your downline. DA/MA is insentive to keep user topop single RM50. User got cheap rate, dealer got 15% + and naik pangkat. Without DA/MA how many downline will topop RM50 ?

Extract from
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry83086833

1. OneXOX is a MVNO riding on another MVNO. It is quite cumbersome that OneXOX have to get approval from XOX just to get additional features.

2. Officially, as of June 2015 Umobile have 4 million subscriber base. Unofficially, they're roughly now at 5 million plus (unofficial figure from unverified sources.)

3. Officially as of August 2016 XOX have 1.5 million subscriber base which of roughly 1.2 million is oneXOX plan. Of that 1.2 million OneXOX subs, 800K is active. (Ask uncle google and you can verify these figures.)

4. OneXOX caters for different market segment which some people tend to forget. Their primary market is mostly malay semi-rural and rural areas. These are the areas that XOX themselves are unable to penetrate on its own.

5. Feature wise, most of OneXOX offerings right now goes down well to its primary market.

6. The only area where OneXOX will have to sit down and think hard is the data consumption segment. Do they want to optimize their bandwidth utilization or not (since very competitive rates is now being offered by the big 4 telcos) ?.

indeed...

Happy Tron user since 2014. with unlimited low speed good enough for whatsapp text message.

get onexox last yr, maybe will let it expire when 28mth no more...

i have Digi from my relative as he don't want anymore... use for testing purchase, will not keep for long.

yes, my family has quite a few Tron number since 2013.

Problem is getting the Simpack, or trying to MNP to Tron. No 4G though.
Using Digi line is always a drawback for some people, as Digi is seen as weak in coverage compared to Maxis and Celcom.

Every package from different MVNO has their pros and cons. There really isn't one that wins in all aspects.
And you can't really compared MVNO against the Main Mobile carriers. It really boils down to individual preferences.

Dear adiwarna,

As long as you gain any percentage from your direct customers and indirect customers then it is MLM.

OneXOX is basically a mlm style business but with a positive tone as it is shariah compliant since August 2016.

Before August 2016, I am also in the opinion that OneXOX business model is conventional mlm. Since August 2016, shariah compliance makes OneXOX one of the very few mlm deserving respect for their newly transparent mlm business model. As it is, OneXOX is the first and only shariah compliant telco currently.

For shariah adherence, everything MUST be transparent, no hanky panky, no hidden charges, no hidden terms or conditions. Basically, they become an open book with everything offered can be scrutinized. That's why shariah compliant is a big deal.

There is nothing wrong with mlm style business. The problem may be with the people who became downlines and pushes the business model the wrong way. Fortunately, this is also being addressed by OneXOX indirectly through the use of KPI. So the argument of DA/MA with RM50 monthly topups by downline is a non issue. In reality, I haven't met with a OneXOX prepaid subscriber who claims having to "pump in" RM50 monthly just to appease their upline ever since I "monitored" OneXOX from the sidewalk for the last two years. So, such allegations remains just allegations without proof.

Such is the business model of OneXOX and yet they offer a basic product with good features. OneXOX prepaids offers cheaper calls/sms rates that is in-sync with their intended market segment. Premium sms content blocking is already one great feature that shields their subscribers from missing credits. Stacking and/or extended validity is also great. Competitive IDD rates is another. Definitely it will not attract those who wants big data or unlimited of everything.

From what I heard recently, Celcom as parent MNO was having fits with so many of its subscribers jumping over to OneXOX.

As they say, numbers don't lie. From just less than 400K subsriber base at end of 2014, the combined XOX/OneXOX is now 1.5 million as of August 2016 (and climbing based on the feedback I'm hearing so far). That is 1.1 million new subsribers within a 20 months period. They have just been allocated another two (2) million mobile numbers by SKMM recently. That is impressive for an mvno player.

So, the numbers alone proves OneXOX must be doing something right. Else, why would there be many more joining the fun such as TRONexus ?

1. Correct. TRON is not a public listed MVNO. Only XOX is public listed (BHD).

2. Correct. OneXOX is XOX subsidiary as a separate entity (SDN BHD).

3. Do investors decide based on sentiment or fundamentals ? Their choice. I dont give a damn.

4. Apparently, all telco stocks is not good investment currently.

5. Even Telenor wants to divest their stocks in Digi. Also, STC wants to divest their stocks in Maxis.

So what's the problem ? I don't see any ..... biggrin.gif

Oh please, you are comparing durians to grapes.

Please be clear, after August 2016, in order to be in compliance with shariah requirements, the incentives comes with strings attached as agreed in the akad. This is to remove all syubhah and gharar elements.

If your commission/incentive comes from limited scope like from a single deal then it is not MLM. That is a direct one-time commission.

Right now, your dealer commisions/incentives is perpetual and from multi layer ( 2 tier / 4 tier / 6 tier). That is by definition a MLM.

No need to be nasty here. I stand ready to be corrected by more knowledgeable people.

Thank you.

OneXOX is a MVNO. For MVNO market, OneXOX is still the best since they offer much cheaper data, sms and call rates than other MVNO. It's not MLM. It's about how much values can we gain from a damn service..

Long validity but mahal is like much data but no signal. Useless

Guys, is Digi Best Prepaid V4 (very old plan), able to convert to Digi New Best Prepaid V1, to take advantage of the IDD Internet Club? Is it worth it? Plan to just use minor internet consumption for whatsapp, etc. while on the move.

Really? 64kb is by default, you didn't activate IDD IC?

Can you check the actual term your plan is?

What I just researched is, I believe they have phased out..
Digi New Best Prepaid V1. (able to activate IDD IC for the 64k internet)..
Digi New Best Prepaid V2.

Their current plans now is:
(a) Digi Prepaid Live
(b) Digi Prepaid Best (2016)
And they don't come with free internet by default. They have something like if you make international call of RM1 or above , then u get 200mb internet free.. something like tht.. but their free internet is need to fill their conditions of hitting certain call quota.. no 64k or anything..
