Better go for OneXOX. MNP to OneXOX and you'll get free validity for up to 28 months. Plus, cheap call and sms rates and flexible two balance accounts. Data wise, both are expensive since they're both MVNO. But OneXOX offers Season Pass, unlimited validity for data. Register now(offer) for a cheap price for RM30 for just 3GB with no validity.

If 64kbps internet speed is sufficient then Digi Best prepaid 2016 gives 500MB basic internet monthly with SLL 365days validity for RM68.

Another option if you'd like High Speed access would be BuzzMe prepaid. Their data plan has no expiry ie. remaining data balance is valid as long as the account is valid. Also available is 1 year validity at RM38.

If your remote sensing data is constant then either digi or buzzme is fine. If there are data gaps or data scheduling then digi is better recommended bcoz the data counter for digi is at 10KB blocks while buzzme is 1MB blocks.

thanks for information.

might option for Digi. are you sure constant 500mb monthly? and still data caps when finish?

i need this for kids gps which require data to track.

Hi ... I am looking for a prepaid card for my mom, prefer the big 4 telco (celcom, maxis, digi, umobile), no need data, just for calling out and receiving calls, long validity for every top-up, what do you guys recommend?

Tron the cheapest.

Tron is riding on Digi 3G network and the lowest vanity with just rm10 topup per yr.

Each topup min rm10 will extend 365 days from the date of topup and you can think again 1yr later.

Reload voucher can get from various method or online payment like epay or even PayPal.

Thanks for the reply, but what about from the four-big telcos themselves like celcom, maxis, digi and umobile?

What do you recommend?

thanks in advance.

None.

Unless you willing to pay for extension or you topup rm30 every mth so it will keep extending the expire date...

Forget about onexox as in the first place not going to use a data further more it will be as normal call and seldom topup. Free 28mth so what.. after the that have to pay for extension which is rm28 for 1yr.

Tron is the cheapest.

I have Tron, Digi and onexox prepaid.

Tron in my opinion is the most flexible for people who prioritize line validity longevity, but still wants to make the occasional calls or have internet access for short periods.

In this day and age where people seldom calls or text anymore, having data is a must. And in my opinion TRON provides such flexibility with validity longevity along with relatively affordable data subscription.

In fact it has an affordable Monthly Data Plan of just RM10 providing "ALMOST unlimited" Social Whatsapp/Wechat.

RM 1 Daily for 30MB @3G Speed (upto 2.7Mbps) plus 30MB of data at 32kbps

RM5 Weekly for 150MB @3G Speed (upto 2.7Mbps) plus 150MB of data at 32kbps

RM10 Monthly for 300MB @3G Speed (upto 2.7Mbps) plus 300MB of data at 32kbps

They advertise their data plan as UNLIMITED but the T&C fine print stats that the Unlimited data has a quota that is equivalent to the Subscription. Thus RM 10 will give you 300MB at 3G speed and 300MB at Social Whatsapp speed of just 32kbps, quite enough for casual use per month.

All in all RM10 monthly is very affordable along with the Validity longevity. Do remember to unsubscribe the data plan before midnight , if you don't wish to continue though.

TRON always have a promotion where RM100 top up will give free RM25 extra credit. So RM 125 credit for just RM100.. that will get 1 year validity and 12 months @RM10 monthly data if you wish.

Other wise, just top up RM10 via Maybank2U .. and have the validity extended for another year from the date of top-up. It also comes with a 90 days In-active period which should give you lots of time to top up in case you forgot to top up.

It's call and SMS rate are on the high side, 20 sen per minute, 10 sen for SMS. BUT currently it has a FREE calls to other TRON Family and Friends numbers. Totally FREE.

Pls prove onexox is mlm

Our shariah panel will not endorse that kind of business plan...fyi onexox is the only telco shariah compliance

See how much other telco charge

At least every time topup the validity will be extended 28 months + topup validity

it is similar...

What is OneXOX ?

Extract from
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=81245526

Onexox is mobile operator with mlm style business. Joint onexox as dealer for RM278 and start your downline. DA/MA is insentive to keep user topop single RM50. User got cheap rate, dealer got 15% + and naik pangkat. Without DA/MA how many downline will topop RM50 ?

Extract from
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry83086833

1. OneXOX is a MVNO riding on another MVNO. It is quite cumbersome that OneXOX have to get approval from XOX just to get additional features.

2. Officially, as of June 2015 Umobile have 4 million subscriber base. Unofficially, they're roughly now at 5 million plus (unofficial figure from unverified sources.)

3. Officially as of August 2016 XOX have 1.5 million subscriber base which of roughly 1.2 million is oneXOX plan. Of that 1.2 million OneXOX subs, 800K is active. (Ask uncle google and you can verify these figures.)

4. OneXOX caters for different market segment which some people tend to forget. Their primary market is mostly malay semi-rural and rural areas. These are the areas that XOX themselves are unable to penetrate on its own.

5. Feature wise, most of OneXOX offerings right now goes down well to its primary market.

6. The only area where OneXOX will have to sit down and think hard is the data consumption segment. Do they want to optimize their bandwidth utilization or not (since very competitive rates is now being offered by the big 4 telcos) ?.
