@colins,
If U have sufficient work experience, U don't need to worry about what's stated. These days (at least I noticed!) most local colleges offering MBAs don't care if U really make the mark because it's really the numbers game.

Of course, if U fail the mark by a LOT that's different altogether smile.gif

So far I have short-listed the following part time MBA program, in preference order:-

a) Strathclyde / CDC ~ RM54k
b) USQ / SeGI ~ RM36k
c) UniSA / ITD ~ RM34k
d) RMIT / MIM-INTI ~ RM50k

The impression I got is that Strathclyde is the toughest, so I am thinking should I go for one of the others.
My objective is of course to graduate but am also taking into considerations whether I should *risk* going after a more challenging program than an *easier* one.

Assuming cost is the secondary issue, what would your advice be and why?

BTW, I don't seems to be able to find any program from the United States, are there any being offered here (part time)?

Thank you all.

Thanks tinkerbel. I don't quite understand what you meant by "the numbers game", can you please elaborate?
cheers.

colins!!

For SEGI, shoud you need any feedback or doubts, mayhem i can help you out a lil:) As im year 2 MBA student there..cheerss..If others, i can't help much.
To me at least, i would weight candidates with more working experience with lower education is much more vital contribution for the MBA course.

Hi Gary, mind to share some feedback on SEGI MBA course? Are you pursuing the one awarded by USQ? Please share with us the quality of teaching, the lecturers' experiences, the flexibility, the environment. Thanking you in advance.

You can consider the followings to :-

a) MIM-University of Hertfordshire
b) Sunway-Victoria University

I am meeting up the Sunway course leader on this Saturday. If you would like to tag along, do PM me. Who knows, we can study together in the near future.

anyone interested in MBA UIAM? The total credit hour is 52 but full-time students would have to attend the classes in evening. the total fee (excluding misc) is around RM19k.

Hello, I am starting my MBA soon this June 2009. I thought it would be a good idea to start this thread so that we can have discussion should we faced any problem with our studies... no matter which MBA programme we are taking since the subjects are almost similar for all programmes. For me, most likely will take up Victoria University programme ... now waiting for my EPF approval to register for it.

Anyone would like to join in this thread?

MBA (Supply Chain Management) brows.gif
Introduction
The number of qualified managers needed to plan, implement, coordinate and control the complex supply chain networks in today’s highly comprehensive market is increasing dramatically. The attractive and comprehensive Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management [MBA (SCM)] programme offered by the College of Business, UUM provides the knowledge to operate at the very top and simply keep up with the competition.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is concerned with linkages from the basic supplier to the ultimate customer. In practice, efforts have been made toward breaking down the barriers that may exist between the different elements of the supply chain system that cause slower responses to a customer’s needs. In any business, slower responses could reduce the organisation’s competitiveness. Therefore, good management of the supply chain becomes crucial.

but the true answer that u seek ,is not which one is cheaper and better. Find a place that ACTUALLY care for your future,NOT your money. Some said people from these certain Uni are pengangur or something. But guys...? its not your paper that can confirm your better future. Whether if its degree or MBA, but if you dont perfom well then what else do you aspect? No matter where u goin to study, what paer taht u gonna get, everythng else is up to your own credibility and performances.
AND if the place you are goin DO taking care of their students its a bonus for you and your plan for the future.Thats my own opinion. My name is NASA. TQ
