Actually its quite hard to find a mba which do not requires working experience.

I don't know about UK, Australia only has a handful of unis which provide MBA without working exp. You might want to do some research in the internet first. If you wants to go Australia instead, i might be able to provide u some info.

I see... Thanks in advance. Will PM you if I need information on Aussie based Unis.

@colins,
Numbers game here meaning, the colleges has a specific target to hit for every enrolment. Most are profit oriented/driven hence if U miss the mark by a little you still probably get in biggrin.gif

there is part time MBA and Executive MBA...
The differnt is Executive MBA is not accreditted. If u paid more than 14k for it but not accredited, then how would u feel?

while there are also part time MBA that IS ACCREDITED.
So be very carefull.

My company offers MBA in Supply Chain Management
FULLY ACCREDITED BY MQA AND JPA.
Awarded by UUM.

But there are some offering executive MBA awarded by UUM alo BUT NOT ACCREDITED!!!

Well,

Company is offering an "Executive MBA" - it's an 18 month program (weekend classes) followed by 18 months bonding (so total 3 years, lah) - and at the end of the program you get an Executive MBA cert and International Diploma in Management, awarded by University of Cambridge Int'l Examinations UK.

Now ... what the heck is the difference between Executive MBA and the "regular" MBA? As far as future employers are concerned would there be any difference? Also, this "University of Cambridge Int'l Examinations UK" <-- I bet it doesn't have anywhere near the same "power" as an actual Cambridge paper, but then is this like some lousy thing that isn't even accredited by anybody, or is it worth a shot for trying to get into this program?

TS!

Perhaps to me accreditation does not matter. These EMBA & MBA indeed was just the same, perhaps these institutes are just like others marketer to boost up their academic business which to stimulate the candidates with those enormous critieria for professional candidates. Perhaps both are taught in similiar syllabus.
Perhaps MBA is not for fresh grad but with minimum 2 years working experience is required & compulsory. Its just that some institutes starts to recruit fresh graduates student as being convey a perception to people that MBA can be fresh graduate entry, as it also part of demand nowadays that the fresh grad are unemployeed & force to continue their further studies(which choose MBA). Hence this EMBA was intentionally to segregrate these group of people.
Dont be suprise, in marketing point of view you will able see more new MBA course offer beside EMBA, perhaps will EEMBA & etc...to confuse the people.

Good Lord... have you all forgotten the power of teh Google?

An Exec MBA is the "platinum" version of your regular MBA. It's meant for ppl with significantly more working experience (10 years or more) and for executives (high-level managers, GM, VP, CEOs etc). Since it is the platinum version, expect to pay platinum prices.

The first link from teh Google is for the NUS-UCLA EMBA, and basically:
1. The world literally is your classroom: you fly into your class when it's held in either SG, Shanghai, LA or Bangalore (you CEO mah, fly in small matter mah)
2. Fees: USD84,800 + tax

no high expectation to have a good education there.
the impression is they are not ambitious...they may tend to lower their standard..dun know...have to pass first sem to tell

Hi there...

Recently i'm planning to take up MBA course but stuck with 2 alternative. SEGi University College - Kota Damansara versus Sunway University College. Can anyone share their opinion on this regarding to the quality?? Would really appreciate it.....

At this moment as i know, Sunway has a great library will lot's of reference books but the total class (hours) seem to be less than Segi. And yet, the whole course can be completed in 1 1/.2yrs compare to Segi 2yrs.
I heard Segi's lecturer are better....

Hope to get some advise from you guys.

Thanks.......

Hi vcsy2000, I don't think that the 6 months will make any differences. You're still going to do it part time...

I am also planning to take MBA, considering USG via SEGi college.
Not too sure if they have closed the application for July intake, else will go for November intake.

@vcsy2000,
It's going to be difficult to check how good the lecturers are at both colleges unless U know someone there. However, U could always go through their course syllabus to check if U like the structure.

Don't compare in terms of total class hours as it doesn't mean that the more class hours there are the better the course is.

Yeah, partially agree with tinkerbell. It's hard to compare on the two colleges. Probably you could consider the following:-
1) Location for the study & schedule
2) The courses available and your interests
3) The size of the classes & age group (try enquiring them)
4) Requirements for entry, better with working experiences (as to share experiences)

Just to share with you as well, I have checked out on SEGi USQ course. Total course fee is RM18000 + AUS475*12 (for exam) =~ RM33K, payable over installments too. 12 courses to complete, recommend to take 2 courses each semester and classes are held on weekends or weekdays' evenings. This is from SEGi KL branch. You could probably enquire SEGi in K.Damansara or S.Jaya and let us know the outcome.
