Segi USQ is modular base? > Its 50% exam & 50% asignment. Its weekend class. But it is quite costly afte u include the exam fee in AUD - It total RM35k. - Once you completed ur 1st semester, you'll find everything is worth it. Friends, skill, knowledge that i gain & experience is reall awesome & useful for my daily lifestyle. - To study MBA, there is some hidden cost such as buy books, business magazine(major) & etc. may I know which line u currently in? - I'm in regional product management what major in USQ MBA? - USQ offer general management & specialization. But i will take general management. My POV, if to take MBA specialization(finance, marketing&etc), why dont just take professinoal course like ACCA, CIM & etc. The advantages of MBA is guide executives, managers & management to overview all prospective of an organization. |

USQ mba dont offer full time but only part time. The class will be on weekends. Each module takes 4 hours. Its depend lecture wants to allocate on 4 hours each sat & sun, or 8 hours(9am-6pm) on 1 day I suggest you gain more working experience first & read more management books before attached to MBA. Btw, there is a MBA book available at MPH tittle Guide to MBA, im not really remember the tittle which published by Victoria university MBA(sunway) grad student. Read that book & may help you. |

You must know what is your career direction in the future. Why you wants an MBA? Because the crowd make you think so or else? Ensure you utilise your MBA knowledge in future & if not why bother to take it. MBA have no limits to any field background. As long you aint a bachelor degree holder, you are encourage & accepted. My class have engineer, finance, lawyer, businessman, doctor & etc.... Btw, as i know MBA only offer part time course.... |

Dont put it at point of diffrentiation view of quality. Put it what is you afford limit for you to take a MBA course. Before i choose the segi MBA, i had UM MBA(RM15k), VU sunway & Segi (RM35k) & Manchester MBA(RM100k), my budget permits me to go for RM35k, so i choose SEGI. Besides also the location travel is the factor also. To me, every of them has their own advantages no matter local or non local. |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 24 2008, 03:04 PM) One of the things you have to consider in choosing MBAs is whether they are 100% project based or there is a final exam as well. This is important because if you intent to go into the education line to teach as lecturer or professor, next time, your MBA might not be rcognised if it was 100% project based, with no exams at all. Certain univerisities donot employ lecturers or professors with such qualifications even though their MBA qualif. may be recognised by MQA and JPA. Its not just applicable to education line only, its applicable to others career as well. I was feedback that to obtain a 50% exam & 50% assignment which will be recognize by most employer. |

I wonder you worried to much on things that you can't control. It just a normal practise of academic council to acquire your academic & working reference, then just get it & provide to them. For academic, just give your courseleader referal, for work, give your direct superior referal lolll... I flip up the newspaper, i can see tones of MBA offering nowadays. Take the initiative to do that. Since your budget is more than wide range that you can choose. |

My humble opinion, try to opt for an institute that has recruit majority working adults rather than fresh grad. Besides, go for assignment & exam base MBA course. Not advisable to opt for 100% assignment base course. |

For SEGI, shoud you need any feedback or doubts, mayhem i can help you out a lil:) As im year 2 MBA student there..cheerss..If others, i can't help much. To me at least, i would weight candidates with more working experience with lower education is much more vital contribution for the MBA course. |

Perhaps to me accreditation does not matter. These EMBA & MBA indeed was just the same, perhaps these institutes are just like others marketer to boost up their academic business which to stimulate the candidates with those enormous critieria for professional candidates. Perhaps both are taught in similiar syllabus. Perhaps MBA is not for fresh grad but with minimum 2 years working experience is required & compulsory. Its just that some institutes starts to recruit fresh graduates student as being convey a perception to people that MBA can be fresh graduate entry, as it also part of demand nowadays that the fresh grad are unemployeed & force to continue their further studies(which choose MBA). Hence this EMBA was intentionally to segregrate these group of people. Dont be suprise, in marketing point of view you will able see more new MBA course offer beside EMBA, perhaps will EEMBA & etc...to confuse the people. |
