The Maybank Ikhwan. Total for the day rm373.55.

Did you request Maybank for SMS trigger? It doesn't come by default, you will need to request by calling CS.

received an alert for usage at rm71 last week. the call center seems to be busy all the time. thing is, on m2u there's no record of my morning spending. hmm...

will head to the petrol station later and see if it gets updated.
*
If you don't request, the SMS trigger is by random. Maybank CS is considered one of the best, you haven't tried others yet.

Wah, why do you want it to be posted immediately? doh.gif sweat.gif It depends on merchants when will they post it. Usually 2-3 days only will appear on unbilled transaction.

When you pump petrol, don't be surprised if it will hold your credit limit of RM 200, that's pre-authorized amount and will be added back to your credit limit once actual amount is posted.

In that case I'll just wait la... hehe..

I haven't experienced the others (credit card related) but I haven't had any success speaking to a human on the hotline, weekdays or otherwise. Guess I'll try the free phone at the bank or do it over the counter.

Why would they randomize sms alerts!? Seesh...
*
So far my call is picked up immediately. I call to the VS/Plat line.

what is statement balance?

i usually paid base on outstanding balance,

but now my outstanding balance is 0, but statement balance still got value.
*
Statement balance is your spending between the statement cycle. Actually you just need to clear the statement balance on due date.

so does this mean,
i still need to clear the statement balance?
although i already cleared outstanding balance and got no more outstanding balance.

Not needed anymore, since your outstanding balance includes statement balance.

Recently applied M2C and got rejected by MBB. 2 months back i applied mortagage under MBB and got it approved so i suspect is PTPTN. Any bank is less lenient? Want to apply for CC.
*
No chance, unless you get release letter from PTPTN or start paying according to schedule. Then try to reapply again after 6 months or one year, at least to show banks some confidence.

Lets say my salary is 3.5k but i have an joint account for an housing loan with maybank. is it possible to obtain a platinum card from them without the need of pledging fixed deposit?
*
Which Maybank Plat card that is so attractive to you? unsure.gif
I also hold their Plat cards but no significant difference compared to Gold.
Maybank is pretty strict when comes to income requirements.

Hi, i'm holding 2 cards now (1 supplementary and 1 was offered by HLB because i have a housing loan with them).

I applied for CIMB, Aeon and HSBC and all got rejected. HSBC said they could not provide the details. CIMB did not reply my email.

As far as i know, the only loan on me is my housing loan and it's quite high. My sisters car is under my name and the remaining loan is 1 year. I don't have any pending loans.

How can i verify why the cards are rejected? I'm worried that i'm blacklisted for something which i'm not aware.
*
Yes, they don't provide reason. Maybe you can check out your CCRIS?

Is there any drawbacks for having more than 5 credit cards? I have like 6 cards now and I am thinking of getting another two uob vox and pbb vs

Erm, so long they approve. Some say will affect loan application. I have more than 10 but no house loan, just car loan and no issue.

This week i went for grocery shopping, i see a flock of credit card sales personnel rushing to me to sign up their banks card.

As so i opted to sign up with one of the bank. Happen to, the next counter was another bank, they were begging to sign up with them.

My question is: i already have their banks card, n by having another card will it be beneficial to them.

By signing up with them and the potential of getting reject (As i hold 5 different bank card alr, max out alr) with this application will it affect my credit history/CTOS/CCRIS or anything?

Thanks smile.gif
*
5 banks maxed out? Which rule is this?

If you don't pay your credit card, of course it will affect your CCRIS and CTOS.

Other than that, should be OK, though advisable not to simply add credit cards because all cards will be shown on CCRIS and banks may have different assessment when it comes to loan applications.

Hi,

I have overpaid my CC to increase my limit for some purchase, but the purchase end out by paying cash. I wonder if I can call CS to transfer back my positive amount back to my saving account (within same bank) ?
*
I have tried for Maybank, overpaid due to BT and it works. laugh.gif They transferred back to my savings account.

great, my case is HLB.
I called them and they say is ok to transfer to excess payment back to saving account, but their system is down for maintainence until today 5pm so nothing can be done yet. sad.gif
I will tried to call in after 5pm
btw, HLB CS line do not have option direct to customer service officer, I have to select "Lost or Stolen Card"
*
Just hold on the line after the IVR selections, it will have an option to speak to CS.

Im planning to do a large amt purchase at this month. As i require to request for temporary limit increase, would like to clarify how it works.

Let say i successfully increase the limit today, i do the transaction tomorrow, will it mean by 30 days from the date of increase i have to clear off the transacted amount i made?
*
Temporary credit limit increase is only for the credit limit, it still follows your statement date.

Is this practice similar to all banks across Malaysia? Or certain banks has certain SOP? Thanks

Yes, standard. Also, temporary credit limit increase is up to banks' approval, your justification must be strong. smile.gif

I checked ocbc GE platinum card but cant find any promotion regarding the casb back on insurance.

1% for first RM 1k and 0.5% unlimited for subsequent amounts. It's also applicable to insurance. I charge it auto-debit for my GE insurance to this card.
