I have both note 5 and mate 8. Just got my mate8 just now.

To be honest, I prefer mate8 camera. The pics are more natural . Note 5 pics looks yellow and way too overprocessed.

I feel the mate8 camera has the same characteristics as iphone 6s .

Anyone got dissapointed that this phone only got FHD display on a huge 6" instead of a QHD? or only me?

huawei already stated very clearly..they think QHD is wasteful...FHD is good enuf..

Unlike Sony, said QHD is useless and then straight away jumped to UHD on Z5 Premium.

Kudos to Huawei for sticking with what they said before.

for now at least..im not surprised if huawei suddenly decides to finally adopt QHD in the future..

Why don't you go n view it yourself to assess. I am perfectly happy with it vs my other Nexus 6P n LG V10

P series is main for camera, for those who want a better camera phone from huawei... pls wait for P9.
G series for mid range/ features smartphones.
honor series only selling online, that's why they are cheaper than "huawei" phones with same specs.

Why does the phone feel warm all the time? And the battery drain so fast!

The main reason I chose this phone was for the full HD display on a huge 6inch screen+huge 4k batt.

The other option in my mind was Samsung Galaxy a9, but news of it in Malaysia.

2k res may be nice but it also drains more batt. For me I am fine with phone staying at 1080p.

is there anyway to change the wallpaper of the smart cover window?

Settings/display/wallpaper/ tap on lockscren n tap more at bottom if you wish to use your own wallpaper - it will prompt you to select gallery app

I tried but it will change the wallpaper of the lockscreen and not the wallpaper of the smart cover window...

i just tried the smart cover, i know what u mean... cannot find a way to change that... maybe need google it up.

luckily i hate smart covers so i'm not gonna use it, waiting for my case to arrive.
